Hammering K-12 school children nonstop about the dangers of climate change in every class, even math, art and gym, is child abuse.
Barely one-third of fourth graders can read or do math at grade level, according to the latest national scores, but climate activists are demanding kids hear about global warming in every class. New Jersey mandates it, and now Connecticut is following suit as the school year opens. In New York City, Mayor Eric Adams is requiring every public school participate in Climate Action Day.
The climate push is nakedly political, spearheaded in New Jersey by the governor's wife, first lady Tammy Murphy, a founding member of Al Gore's Climate Reality Project. Lessons link urban heat islands to tree placement inequities, redlining and racism.
New York City holds out activist Greta Thunberg as a climate hero and role model, telling kids to "get involved in the global student climate action movement" and "get to know community leaders and register to vote." Everything short of pre-enrolling kindergarteners in the Democratic Party. Parents should be outraged.
Climate change is the Left's religion. The messaging is as heavy-handed as catechism in a religious school.

Weird huh
Turning their brain to Mush
When this all started many moons ago...with Gore...Hillary stepped to the mike saying this was to get youngsters involved...you own the schools...you own their minds...Give them a Green shirt and a bottle drive...and a Penguin Story...and you’re on your way.
It is time for separation of school and state.
There is no authority in the constitution for the federal government to maintain a federal Dept. of Education. Meaning, education is solely a State’s Rights issue. That’s the way to sever the connection between local schools and federal mandated garbage.
When I was in first grade, the Weekly Reader newsletter for kids featured a story about how we were using too much water. Lakes are drying up because of all the water use. There was a filmstrip accompanying the newsletter in which they showed people standing around a lake in Minnesota. They were talking about how incredible it was that the lake looked so big but someday the water will be gone.
As a six year old, I was skeptical. It rains, doesn’t it? And rain fills up lakes, doesn’t it?
This was back in 1966. The climate fearmongering has been going on for a LONG time.
Brainwashing not brainstorm if they can’t read.
You were in first grade in ‘66? Way to make me feel old. ππππ
‘Way to make me feel old.’
I was in 1st grade in ‘55; is that closer...?

I am wearing my optimistic hat today.
See my tagline.
I refer to this as “creating a constituency”. The Dems are great at it. They find a narrow but loud group, then devise messages and policies to specifically cater to that segment. It then becomes a wedge issue that they hammer again and again.
I figure it’s in response to the diminishing power of certain voting blocs that were historically and reliably Dem voters. Think of workers unions, racial groups, “the poor”, immigrants (illegals), feminists, etc. As some of these groups fractured and began considering voting for conservatives, they had to be replaced with new Dem voters. So brainwashing young K-12 students with climate-change fear mongering and the LGBTQIA+ and CRT agendas gives them a new, and reliable voting bloc for decades.
Yup. Because they really, really care about the environment unlike earth killing conservative types. π€
What you said plus the fact that all the water that’s ever been on earth is still here, it just changes locations ever coupla thousand years or so.
The only water that earth “loses” is that miniscule amount we send to outer space occasionally.
It bothers me, only a tiny bit, the water I drink was probably someone’s piss at one time or part of someone’s decomposing body.
