As Tropical Storm Hilary continues to slam Southern California, three tropical storms are churning in the Atlantic Ocean as the world prepares for an above-average hurricane season.
Three tropical storms β Franklin, Emily and Gert β have developed in the Atlantic Ocean in less than 24 hours as the Southwest continues to be slammed by Hilary, according to the National Hurricane Center. Franklin is expected turn northward Tuesday to bring heavy rainfall to Puerto Rico and Hispaniola through the middle of the week and could also bring tropical storm conditions to the Dominion Republic and Haiti starting Tuesday, where tropical storm warnings have already been issued.

People were advised to get their covid booster to help protect from potential incoming hurricanes...
Yes, /sarc /would you be surprised?
As the world prepares.........for naturally occurring events. π³ππ©
Boy hilary has been a real ball buster.
Yup...that time of the year...my daughters anniversary was memorable since it was hurricane season and they wound up in the Carolinas instead of the Bahamas.
Really? Hurricane season is almost half over. Did I miss some?
I think they call this Hurricane season. I believe it occurs annually.
β ..for naturally occurring events. β
You darn right we are preparing! Wishfully hoping for a rather large hurricane to come ashore between Conroe and Houston, push a few hundred miles north then stall out and rain, and rain, and rain over Central Texas.
103-106 is no fun, but can be typical for Texas summers.
Not glow-bull warming, itβs just a hot summer. We survived worse, we will survive this.
Can these low pressure storms push out the high pressure dome over Texas?
California deserved Hillary
We just went 7 weeks with no HVAC with some 100 degree days thrown in. Lucky for us we have 30+ temp swings overnight here. We survived. Finally fixed. ππ
β Can these low pressure storms push out the high pressure dome over Texas?β
I donβt think so. But the jet stream can. Just hoping it moves east and allows a hurricane or two to come ashore in south Texas and come up along I35!
That first tropical storm looks like it will give Brownsville and far south TX some rain tomorrow!
Leaving for 2 cruises on Sunday.....YIKERS!
Franklin expected to turn NE and become a hurricane by Friday but out in the Atlantic below Bermuda.
Gert to fizzle out in a day or so.
Emily to turn north and stay a depression in the middle Atlantic.
Yup - we’re all gonna die...
None of these storms pose a real threat to the US. In past years, when only hurricanes deserved names, none of them would have been a named storm. The weather service has become an agenda-driven propaganda agency.
All are nothing burgers.
More weather terrorism
I believe youβre right.
