Former Vice President Mike Pence said he “would expect” former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to have known about an order from former President Donald Trump to declassify documents before leaving the White House.
Pence's comment's come after Meadows reportedly told investigators in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office that he didn't remember Trump having a “standing order” to declassify documents as they left the White House, per ABC News on Sunday.
"I would expect so," Pence said on ABC News's This Week on Sunday when asked if he believes Meadows would have known about a declassification order, "But again, I sure hope we're not getting back into the lane of leaks from the justice department about these cases."
Pence pointed to the special counsel investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents, saying, “We haven't heard a peep out of that.”
It’s so weird that there’s not a stitch of evidence from anyone, anywhere that Trump declassified anything.
There still has to be some sort of something saying he did it.
Merely thinking it, including ex post, is not sufficient.
Why the heck did Pence have documents he shouldn’t have?
This is an Article II case and that’s all it is.
The blowback from killing JFK put pressure on the CIA to find another way to eliminate a President who could eliminate them. Hence the “independent counsel” invention from Nixon’s DOJ, the idea that there are, or even could be, officers appointed by the President - you know, as in “Executive power is vested in a President of the United States” that are not subject to his commands - an obvious absurdity.
The gaslighting around “Watergate” has had such a strong effect that entire government departments rallied to eliminate the duly elected 45th President without having to blow his brains out and cover it up.
And that’s where we are.
The ELEPHANT in the room is the transfer of these documents! If a person touches a document that is at the classification in these talking points - WHO signed for them and WHO did they transfer to? This is ALL BS. A person working at the White Hut with an active security clearance could not just transfer Top Secret documents like what is being portrayed in the national propagandist media. Pence HAD classified documents in his possession! Biden had classified documents in his possession! Hillary had classified documents in her possession! All of these people were not prosecuted. President Trump is being harassed by a Democrat operation. The national media is poisoning a jury pool with incessant talking points that he is guilty of multiple crimes. It is a 24/7 operation of putting out false demoncrat talking points to try him in the public arena. There is no way on earth at this point that President Trump could receive a fair trial! The media is a constant barrage of false information regarding these trials/charges. Pence should just shut his pie hole and crawl back to his home in the land of the Hoosiers. The more Pence talks the less likable he becomes. He is a swamp rat that doesn’t have a chance of ever being elected again. He ought to see the light.
When they realized they had them they returned them immediately. And if the archived discovered something missing they made requests that were complied with.
Trump by contrast was asked repeatedly for a year, never complying. That actually is the important difference difference.
I am so sick of this! Where is the documentation of the previous Presidents? Let's use their actions as precedence. This Deep State BS is unacceptable and I abhor you and the rest of the Deep State putting the country through this.

If Trump says there was a standing order then there was one. Verification is not needed, legally.

I have no doubt that the President has the authority to declassify any material at will — and without going through any formal process to do so.
But if a subordinate comes across a document with a “classified” marking on it, he would do well to have evidence that it WAS declassified before doing anything with it.
