Pence 'would expect' Meadows to have known about 'standing order' to declassify documents
Washington Examiner ^

Former Vice President Mike Pence said he “would expect” former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to have known about an order from former President Donald Trump to declassify documents before leaving the White House.

Pence's comment's come after Meadows reportedly told investigators in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office that he didn't remember Trump having a “standing order” to declassify documents as they left the White House, per ABC News on Sunday.

"I would expect so," Pence said on ABC News's This Week on Sunday when asked if he believes Meadows would have known about a declassification order, "But again, I sure hope we're not getting back into the lane of leaks from the justice department about these cases."

Pence pointed to the special counsel investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents, saying, “We haven't heard a peep out of that.”

Further evidence that Mark Meadows has gone to the deep state. He and Pence are going to become best friends now.

Mike Pence said he “would expect” former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to have known...

Pence is Deep State and the "would expect" evidence he spouts proves absolutely nothing.

Nothing Pence the Pussy says is true. Nothing. He lies about everything. Just because he says it in monotone doesn’t him, or NPR, truthful.

Pence is a known closet homosexual, and that makes him mentally ill and without any moral boundaries.

Isn’t it great how they “testify” in public against Trump.
The entire case against Trump is an absurdity.

Looks like he’s trying to lend support to Mark Meadows who also seems like a homosexual to me. There’s a reason the FBI liked to keep closet homosexuals out of government, because the CIA leveraged them in other governments.

THERE IS NO PROCESS for the president to declassify something. There is no paperwork. No office coordination. No standing order. The Chief of Staff? He doesn’t play a role. The president wishes something to be declassified -— poof! — it’s declassified.

Show me a document that says otherwise.

I see Pence, who wilts like a cheap suit whenever the Democrats demand something, finally finds his cajones when he’s stabbing people in the back.

It is my understanding that Obama issued a standing declassification order that was still in effect.

I detest Pence, but what proof do you have that he’s homosexual?

I agree 100% with what you’ve said, and I’m not defending the despicable Pence, but that’s not the issue here.
Trump is the one who said he had a standing order and Kash Patel backs that up. Now whether Kash will back that up under oath, I hope so.

WIKI

Wen Ho Lee is a Taiwanese-American scientist who worked for the University of California at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. He created simulations of nuclear explosions for the purposes of scientific inquiry, as well as for improving the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.

Janet Reno confirmed with CIA Director George Tenet and FBI Director Louis Freeh that if the presiding judge rules that the government must reveal in open court what specifically was on the tapes, the prosecution would have to plea out the case or risk jeopardizing state secrets.

In September 2000, Judge Parker ruled that the government was required to disclose the information on the tapes.

Federal judge James A. Parker eventually apologized to Lee for denying him bail and putting him in solitary confinement. He excoriated the government for misconduct and misrepresentations to the court.

That’s all true. The problem is that there would have to be some kind of formal notice in order for someone other than the President to have an assurance that they were operating without any legal risk.

Of course President Trump didn’t pass the knowledge of the Standing Order Declassification off to anyone. That wasn’t the Plan.

Whether or not the documents were declassified or not is irrelevant. Trump is being charged with the Espionage Act and that says nothing about classification. It deal with National Defense Information which can be classified or not. The Espionage Act has never been applied to a President or ex President and frankly cannot apply to them since in both roles they retain authorization to access National Defense Information.

We also know that prior to the Presidential Records Act implementation in 1981, earlier Presidents retained possession of White House records that included National Defense Information, Roosevelt and Eisenhower both had such materials at their private offices until later moved to either private or Presidential libraries. I have not researched it but would not be surprised if Truman, Johnson, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge and Hoover also retained NDI as part of their Preside trial records. None of them was ever charged with the Espionage Act and that clearly infers that ex President’s were not covered under that law.

Note the stupidity in this report. There is no requirement for Trump to announce to the world - or Meadows for that matter - that he is declassifying his documents. Trump’s intent and actions make it so. No ballyhoo required
