THERE IS NO PROCESS for the president to declassify something. There is no paperwork. No office coordination. No standing order. The Chief of Staff? He doesn’t play a role. The president wishes something to be declassified -— poof! — it’s declassified.

Show me a document that says otherwise.

I agree 100% with what you’ve said, and I’m not defending the despicable Pence, but that’s not the issue here.
Trump is the one who said he had a standing order and Kash Patel backs that up. Now whether Kash will back that up under oath, I hope so.

That’s all true. The problem is that there would have to be some kind of formal notice in order for someone other than the President to have an assurance that they were operating without any legal risk.
