The GOP presidential candidate backtracked and said, ‘There is no gay gene.’
(LifeSiteNews) — After briefly veering a bit off course from his foundational TRUTH-grounded campaign, GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy seems to have made an important course correction.
A few weeks ago, the candidate declared unequivocally that homosexuality is “hardwired” at birth.
“The gay rights movement was predicated on the idea, which I’m quite sympathetic to, that the sex of the person that you’re attracted to is hardwired on the day you’re born,” Ramaswamy said in July.
His assertion that homosexuality is an immutable trait was based on an untruth — a lie — long advanced by the political left to increase unwarranted LGBT rights, including the U.S. Supreme Court’s unconscionable Obergefell decision that shredded society’s concept of marriage while throwing open the door to the plague of transgenderism.
LifeSiteNews challenged Ramaswamy in a commentary published Friday, August 12, citing scientific studies that “explode the false narrative that being ‘gay’ is an innate condition that is controlled or largely compelled by one’s genetic makeup,” according to a recent report by the Ruth Institute.
The report noted that despite decades of desperate research hoping to prove that homosexuality is an innate, immutable trait, even the American Psychological Association (APA) has been forced to conclude that “there is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian orientation.”
Course correction
By Sunday, August 14, just 48 hours later, the presidential hopeful had recalibrated his message, distancing himself from his previous statements asserting that homosexuality is innate.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post about an impromptu encounter with a self-identifying “pansexual” activist at the Iowa State Fair caught on video, Ramaswamy stated there is “no gay gene” while citing the conflicting beliefs maintained by the LGBTQ+ political left in order to justify ongoing erosion of immutable truth as a matter of law, regulation, and culture:
"The LGBTQ movement protests that the sex of the person you’re attracted to is hardwired at birth even though there’s no gay gene, yet *also* requires you to believe that your sex is totally fluid over the course of life even though there’s clearly a sex chromosome. You can’t believe both of these things at once, yet they call you a bigot unless you do. That’s just the hard TRUTH."

The activist approached Ramaswamy and asked, “What were your opinions on the LGBTQ+ community?”
“I don’t think it’s one community,” Ramaswamy said. “I mean, how could it be? Just mash together an alphabet soup. Trans is fundamentally in tension with gay if you ask me.”
Questioned about same-sex couples, he indicated that he doesn’t “have a negative view of same-sex couples, but I do have a negative view of a tyranny of the minority.”
He continued:
"I think that in the name of protecting against the tyranny of the majority — and there are times in this country’s history where we have had a tyranny of the majority — we have now in the name of protecting against tyranny of the majority created a new tyranny of the minority.
"And I think that that’s wrong. I don’t think that somebody who’s religious should be forced to officiate a wedding that they disagree with.
"I don’t think somebody who is a woman who’s worked really hard for her achievements should be forced to compete against a biological man in a swim competition.
"I don’t think that somebody who’s a woman that respects her bodily autonomy and dignity should be forced to change clothes in a locker room with a man.
"That’s not freedom. That’s oppression.
"And so I believe that we live in a country where free adults should be free to dress how they want, behave how they want and that’s fine, but you don’t oppress you don’t become oppressive by foisting that on others, and that especially includes kids because kids aren’t the same as adults. And so I think adults are free to make whatever choices they want, but do not foist that ideology onto children before children are in a position as adults to make decisions for themselves.
"And so I think a lot of the frustration in the country, and if I’m being really honest that I also share, comes from that new culture of oppression where saying those things can actually get somebody punished."
The video that was published on X quickly went viral, garnering over 2 million views.
Jordan Peterson recently noted that “Ramaswamy is bright, articulate, and unflappable.”
Ramaswamy is a member of the advisory board “Alliance for Responsible Citizenship” (ARC), a global movement founded by Peterson to push back against the influence of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
He’s also proving to be intellectually curious and honest, exceedingly uncommon but sorely needed traits in the world of politics.
“This is shaping up to be some interesting election,” Peterson added.
Boy genius doesn’t know everything?
I’m shocked. Shocked I tell you.
He said he was “sympathetic” with that point of view. Now I guess he isn’t. This has-been a fake controversy.
It shouldn’t take him 2 tries to get to the right answer, considering that it was a yes/no question.
I will never ever vote for a first, second, third, fourth or fifth generation Indian. I’ve worked for years with hundreds of them and they are duplicitous, racist liars who only seek their own personal gain with very few exceptions The Indian caste system is hard wired into thier brains. Go ahead and call me a racist - I don’t care. I have more experience working alongside them than 99.99% of people in this country. Anyone supporting him needs to look long and hard at all the other Indian politicians that are currently in office.
Amen! I just got back from hearing him speak at the Nixon Presidential Library. He denounced the WEF, NATO and other multilateral organizations and called for an America first foreign policy.
I note that Ramsey indicated sympathy with people who think that not agreement with what they thought.

Waffling is like art. We know it when we see it.

RE: he probably blurted out his true feelings the first time and this is just an attempt to CYA afterwards
Rookie mistake.
Great line Nixon used to say (not his original):
No one ever lost an election over the speech he didn’t make.
He is just putting blood in the water before the debates for the other candidates.
He pointed out on a recent Tucker X interview that it is illogical to say gayness is hardwired, while at the same time saying gender/sex attraction is fluid throughout life, and that that is exactly what the faithful in the alphabet soup sex religion will do.
My experience with Indian workers was quite similar. One does not shake off a 6,000-year-old culture of caste oppression in a single generation or even several generations. Deception is an essential survival trait in such cultures. We are fools to avoid considering what this means to us when dealing with "the others".
Vivek is exceptionally skilled at saying what we want to hear. I really enjoy his act. It is almost perfect.
And I am certain he doesn't mean a single word of it.
No, I will not be voting for him.
Another poster noted earlier that we should always beware of young, charismatic leaders who come suddenly out of nowhere to a national prominence. Careful observations always reveal unsavory backers who put them there.
They settled a lawsuit he filed for nominal damages of $2500, which probably is less than their attorneys charge by the hour. No finding of falsity as to his association with the group.
Keep falling for the grift.
I read an article that said the alphabet mafia religion is Prideology. To read about it, check FR keyword Prideology.
Ask this curry muncher if he believes in the concept of caste. Ask this wog what Hindus think of Christians.
Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 say it is an abomination for a man to lie with another man as a woman. It condemns the physical actions of homosexual sex.
Yes, that is why transgender and homosexual activists are pushing the invented “gender ideology” and gay porn onto children. They’re also pushing to decriminalize M.A.P. (minor attracted person) and grant minors the rights to secretly transition and get hormones and Puberty Blockers without parental permission. Kids can even move to California and Washington and the state will provide support, meds and plastic surgery, without parental permission. Their next step is “granting” children the “legal right to have sex” with whomever.
Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice and a severe mental disorder.
Homosexuals cannot procreate.
Homosexuals recruit children.
Homosexuals pushing to mainstream & legalize pedophilia.
Homosexuals met their demise in Sodom & Gomorrah...just as all homos will.
Why celebrate and passively endorse such a demonic lifestyle choice that can damage so many children?
Is Vivek a Hindu?
Vivek waffles the Soros way.
