Several of the attorneys who spearheaded President Donald Trump’s frenzied effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election tried, and failed, to collect payment for the work they did for Trump’s political operation, despite the fact that their lawsuits and false claims of election interference helped the Trump campaign and allied committees raise $250 million in the weeks following the November vote.
Among them was Trump’s closest ally, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani. Trump and Giuliani had a handshake agreement that Giuliani and his team would get paid by the Trump political operation for their post-election work, according to Timothy Parlatore, an attorney for longtime Giuliani ally Bernard Kerik.
But the Trump campaign and their affiliated committees ultimately did not honor that pledge, according to campaign finance records. The failure to pay Giuliani and his team came up last week in a private interview between prosecutors on Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team and Bernard Kerik, a member of Giuliani’s team in late 2020, according to Parlatore.

Trump rant out of money in 2020. He knows the same will happen in 2024 and is getting stingy.
Trump had a lot of unpleasant habits, particularly in regards to his business and personal life.
In 2016 we understood and accepted this. "I'm not voting for a saint. I'm voting for a fighter!" was a popular sentiment.
Fast-forward to now, and everyone is in denial that the pre-presidency Trump, the one who graced the tabloids since the 1980s, ever existed.
If he did such a good job, why didn’t he get into a court of
law and prevail?
No, I’m sorry, but we need results not a slap on the back
because you’re a supposed good guy.
I like Rudy, but enough is enough. Trump needs someone who
is competent on his team.
The guy is being buried, and all we get is back slapping
and glad handing.
We are three years down the road and we have bupkis.
See if you think these numbers look believable.

Isn’t he a Multi-Billionaire?
>> In 2016 we understood and accepted this. “I’m not voting for a saint. I’m voting for a fighter!” was a popular sentiment...............Fast-forward to now
Between “2016” and “now” *somehow* (cough, cough TDS) you managed to “fast-forward” over four years of President Trump’s major accomplishments in Making America Great Again, achieved in hand-to-hand combat against the sort of brutal internal foes that no president in my lifetime has ever had to face. He never gave in! Never gave up! AND HE STILL HAS NOT GIVEN UP. In spite of the personal risk and cost to himself.
It’s that ability to not only FIGHT but also to ACHIEVE that “we” the discerning conservatives prize in President Trump. He’s got the heart and soul of a lion... unmatched by any of the tweedledee-tweedledum retail pols that are running (miserably) against him.
(... meanwhile “we” watch Ron DeDumazz and observe that he can’t even run a freaking campaign...)
There was another article in the past week or so about DJT not paying his bills. If true, not good.

My favorite ‘not good’ was the report that campaign donations to Trump were funneled to Melania so that she could buy nice clothes.
$250,000 in donations.
And still... Only Freepers applauded this grifting.
His lawyers should demand payment up-front in gold coins.
They believe it because the are maggots and suffer from terminal TDS.
In other news DeoSanctus de Florida is polling in the single digits in NH.
And yet, in all national polls President Trump does better than DeSantis against Biden.
Do you DeSanctimonious supporters want to win the election or just do better in the Swing States?
Yes, but his money is all tied up in real estate.
Seriously though, if they worked for the campaign and were following his demands, I would think the campaign would help with legal expenses.
One of them did.

It’s behind a paywall, but you can see right below the headline “ Chris Kise sought the arrangement based on unprecedented investigation, Trump’s reputation for not paying legal fees”
But not in gold coins….
People like you refuse to see anything wrong with an incredibly flawed, foolish man. It's dangerous to some extent, only tempered by the fact that he is on the right side of things.
Let me ask you this:
Trump has been the leader of the Republican Party on a national level since his election in 2016. Are the Democrats today more powerful or less powerful than they were in 2016?
DeSantis has been the leader of the Republican Party in Florida since 2018. Are the Democrats in Florida today more powerful or less powerful than they were in 2018?
That's the difference. One man (who is an actual conservative) fights and achieves.
The other man (an old New York liberal) just gets beat up.

Trump should pay his promised debts. He’s exactly acting like the kids who took out school loans and won’t pay them back. He owes cities a great deal of money. Where is this 250 million going? Trump is going to be investigated for this. All he had to do was pay Rudy. His thinking is weird.
Trump does a good job making himself look bad.
That money was separate from his personal troubles. They were for strictly finding out about the election. Not to pay his lawyers for his indictments.
