Jack’s Schizophrenic Indictment
American Thinker ^ | August 14, 2023 | Joe Fried

According to Jack Smith, the Electoral Count Act (ECA) gave Mike Pence and the members of Congress only one job to perform on January 6, 2021: collect, count, and certify. Smith calls it the “federal government function,” and he claims Trump and his six co-conspirators took actions aimed at violating that “bedrock” function of our federal government.

That is how the Special Counsel starts the Trump indictment, and believe me, he lays it on thick. There are numerous references to the three C’s and to federal government function.

Excellent article from American Thinker.

I hope the defense has the cojones to transform this witch trial into an indictment of the stolen election.

Jack is a hatchet man for sale to the highest bidder that satisfies his sick needs. With no more integrity than that would you expect anything competent?

if it is shown that the declaring of the non emergency as an emergency actually stopped the certification process, can nancy pelosi and others be charged instead?

This isn’t about the truth of the charges. It’s all about the Democrats and their rabid obsession with everything “F*** TRUMP!!”

I am deeply surprised the Dastardly Democrats and the Banana Republicans haven’t orchestrated a Waco-style attack on President Trump where they can conveniently murder him for “resisting arrest” or some other BS.

The truth of the charges, the Constitution, common decency, none of that has any bearing on what is happening to our President and to our nation.

trump will be acquitted and deemed the winner of the 2020 election and will be ineligible to run for president in 2024.

this won’t occur until early in 2025.

dems last ditch effort to keep trump out of office.

collect, count, and certify.

So lets say the state of NY comes in with all their EVs for Trump in the envelope which we all know would be incorrect. Would Pence just have counted them for Trump? Certification is an action not a ceremony.

It’s simple legally - having an honest but different opinion on something is not a crime.

Electoral Count Act (ECA) ...that “bedrock” function.

I was unaware that the Electoral Count Act was ‘bedrock’ anything. I thought the ‘bedrock’ of the Republic was the Constitution.

I think the rule is about serving two terms, not winning two terms. In your scenario Trump would still be eligible to serve a second term.

But you’ve got the snakey-sneaky mindset of the democrat traitors figured out really well.I applaud you.

Well, we're about to find out if that's so, aren't we?

I was unaware that the Electoral Count Act was ‘bedrock’ anything.

To leftists, court cases which bolster their worldview are "bedrock," as are mere laws which are reversible.

Unless, of course, that law is the Defense of Marriage Act, which isn't bedrock, by some rationale.

“How can you certify a lie?”

From Wikipedia’s entry on the Electoral Count Act:

The Act thus relegated Congress to resolving only ...

(a) if governor had certified two different slates of electors

(b) if other specific defects such as a ministerial error

(c) if an elector or candidate was ineligible for office

(d) if the electoral college votes were not “regularly given.”

The Wikipedia article also says

Since the bill was enacted, some have doubted whether the Act could bind a future Congress

some consider it very confused, almost unintelligible.

If Trump and his six co-conspirators took actions aimed at violating that “bedrock” function of our federal government.

They would have rigged the election.

Hilarious

The commie MI AG just admitted that there were 10,000 fake registrations, filled with fake names and addresses. She admitted that the sheriff who investigated the allegations was correct. Of course, she buried his referral.

He admits there was fraud twice in just a little bit of reading. Outcome determinative fraud” is the phrase. How can that be determined without an investigation, or an investigation into States who broke their own Constitutions, and the US Constitution, by changing voting laws by simple votes.

I suppose most of the jury will be 80 IQ BLM supporters, so he will be found guilty.

The R’s should be working on a bill to make Presidents serve as many times as they are elected. With Brandon in office, Joey will go for that. For those of you who say the Constitution now doesn’t allow that? It also doesn’t allow States to change Federal election laws, Biden to open the borders and force the helpless n hopeless, to keep the veterans homeless.
