An Army installation in Texas has been struggling to put food on the table for its soldiers for months as the base faces a shortage of cooks to staff its dining facilities.
Fort Cavazos, Texas, previously known as Fort Hood, has struggled to provide its junior enlisted troops with meals for months, with the base only opening two of its 10 major dining facilities for much of the summer and with limited times, according to a report Tuesday from Military.com.
According to the report, the base has faced a shortage of cooks to man the dining facilities around base, with many Army cooks either on deployment or away on field training. Soldiers who depend on the dining facilities to eat have also faced confusing and conflicting opening schedules for the facilities as base officials attempt to move personnel around to staff the food service buildings.

Just bring back the draft. Then DC would have the cooks they need and the young innocent American boys to fight and die in ALL of their globalist adventures.
It’s not like closing city pools in the summer due to a lack of lifeguards, hard as that is for kids to deal with.

Hard to find someone who’s goal in the military is to be a cook. And we don’t want to hurt their feelings by making them cook unless they want to.

If you can’t hire civilians to cook for the troops, then you sign some of the troops to cook for the rest of the troops. It isn’t that hard.
Our military is so woke so it’s no longer effective. Our logistics were the best. But we’re going to lose it all.
Put them all on Separate Rations! That means they will receive a stipend to eat meals anywhere and they pay for it.
In SE Asia 1969, I was too far from the chow hall. I bought canned goods at the annex and ate well using my Sterno stove at the hooch!
