Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he was willing to testify against former President Donald Trump at his January 6 trial.
Anchor Major Garrett asked, “Were you interviewed by the special counsel?”
Barr said, “I’m not going to go into that.”
Would you appear as a witness if called?”
Barr said, “Of course.”
Garrett said, “One of those associated with Trump’s defense team has said, if you were called as a witness, they would cross-examine you and pierce all of that by asking you questions that you couldn’t, to their mind, credibly answer about how thorough that investigation was that led you to tell the president what you told him. How thorough was that investigation?”

Barr knew about the laptop and covered it up. He did not investigate voter fraud — he lied here. “I think we investigated it sufficiently.” And then he pretends to look deep into Trump’s heart and perceive deception about claiming election fraud.

I’m thinking, NO.
There is some rule that if he appoints someone as an interim, the term lasts for 6 months. At the end, the Senate will vote. If they say, NO, he can just re-appoint them. And they have all the same power and authority as if they were confirmed.
Anyone on here knows any different, feel free to correct me.
But I think that was something that came up with the acting AG, Whitaker(?), if I recall. He didn’t push for Whitaker or maybe something came out about him and I think that’s how he ended up with Barr.
And I think that Mnuchin and Ross, who actually did what Pres Trump wanted them to do, were folks that snuck through. Both Wall St folks and I think McConnell thought they were more globalist and would do what all the others did, stab Pres Trump in the back, and they didn’t.
Which appointment was worse, Barr or Wray?
Seems Barr is hoping for a Dem victory in 24 so he will have a job in the Dem swamp. He will say anything against Trump.

Bill Barr said a couple days ago, the DoJ made it one of their highest Priorities to charge people with FELONIES that “Lie and Try” in Fed Gun Applications because the Dems kept complaining to him. It was one of the highest Priorities in Justice.
(Also an admission he felt he was working for the Dems).
One problem, the Hunter’s Gun crime was in 2018. Barr was AG. Barr was meeting with Schumer and Lindsey Graham and Barr’s only interest was pulling Joe, Hunter, and Nine Biden’s across the finish line.
Barr lies, lies, and lies.
If you notice all the protections he claims Joe and his Felons must be afforded, he does not think should be afforded to Trump.
He’s just like Comey and Wray - whenever they’re claiming high minded fairness and strict adherence to their own, Aryan Godlike procedures - they’re protecting Democrats that have committed Crimes, or people working for the Deep State.
They are allowed to ignite their own precious procedures on a whim anytime they wish - if they claim it’s for the good of the Justus System. Get that? They can comment extensively on open cases, at any time, if they simply claim it’s in the interest of the Justus system.
He is no different than Comeyz. Lie, Profit, Act Piously, repeat as necessary.
