FEATURED CNN Roasted Over Sob Story of Liberals ‘Fleeing’ Florida – ‘Don’t Let The Door Hit You in the A**’ By Augustus LeRoux On Jul 29, 2023 Copy Link Print A CNN sob story this week about a liberal family fleeing the Sunshine State caught no sympathy from Floridians.
In an interview published Wednesday, Tiffiney and Kelly McKee say they have been forced to move due to the state’s “political climate and laws”– specifically the ban on transgender surgeries for minors signed by Governor DeSantis last May. The couple has two children, including a son who is confused about his gender and claims to be a girl.
“I never thought that I would have to flee a state for the good of my children,” the couple told CNN. “We didn’t want to move.”
The couple’s son has reportedly been taking puberty blockers since he was 12, just shortly after being taught about transgenderism. His parents say the ‘treatments’ have made their son more “outgoing” and supported the transition for over five years.
After the interview was posted to Twitter, commenters pounced on the story, leaving a flood of messages mocking CNN’s failed exposé.
Essentially, “Don’t let the door hit you in the a** on the way out.”
Libs deporting themselves. Perfect,” commented a Florida native.
“I never thought that I’d have to flee a state either, but Phil Murphy closed the schools, bankrupted small businesses, mandated vaccines, and injected gender ideology into my kid’s curriculum,” responded one mom. “Thank goodness for governors like DeSantis who led the way on freeing us from medical tyranny and handing rights back to the parents.”
“Imagine uprooting your whole life moving states just to sterilize your kid,” said another user.
Since being posted, the CNN interview has drawn nearly 10 million views and over 16,000 comments on Twitter. Almost all of the responses are negative. By comparison, the post received a meager 3,500 likes
Red State contributor “Bonchie,” wrote, “For a second, I thought this might actually be some piece about real estate costs or something. But nope. They are ‘fleeing’ because the state won’t allow them to mutilate their child. And CNN thinks they are the good guys.”
A Florida woman named Tanya responded,
“She makes it sound like ‘trans’ people in Florida face the same threats that Jews faced in Germany in the 1930s. Is there any evidence of that at all? How many incidents of violence against ‘trans’ people were there recently? How is the fear justified? It’s fine that she is leaving the state – I felt terrible in California, so I did. But a woman feeling irrational fear hardly qualifies for a news story. No?”
The Florida legislature officially passed a ban on transgender procedures for minors last April. It received the Governor’s signature the following month. Afterward, DeSantis tweeted,
“With my signature, Florida permanently prohibits genital mutilating surgical procedures and experimental puberty blockers for minors.
Minors given these procedures without their consent will now be able to recover damages for permanent injury or death caused by these medical experiments.” ~ Gov. Ron DeSantis on May 17, 2023

Sure wish they’d start fleaing Texas. Take some of these miggies with them.
IF it’s soooo terrible, they should just off themselves which would do the world...and themselves a HUGE favor.
Imagine every single disgusting commie leaving Florida, you could actually breathe fresh air and not the stench of commie garbage..I feel sorry for the poor kid, being taught that being a mental patient is a good thing, that poor kid is gonna grow up confused, angry, and mentally deranged

Mentally disturbed parents=mentally ill children. GTFOOH.
I'm assuming their "son" is actually a girl. And these monsters (the "parents") not only tolerated this abomination, but supported it? They're criminals guilty of child abuse and did so for the sole purpose of showing their dope smoking liberal/liberTARDian friends how progressive they are.
They should move to San Francisco. They’ll love it!
Good riddance Mr. and Mrs Karen.
FL needs to take that kid away from them before they depart. These two should be in prison for trying to mutilate their child.
I’m one of those stuck in the liberal hell-scape of NJ, with plans to GTFO and take shelter in FL for retirement. Every scummy leftist that flees FL represents an opportunity for me and my wife to make FL a tiny bit more red than it already is.
I’ll keep repeating myself until the damn finally breaks.
There is never a medically justifiable reason to transition a child, period.
There are several genetic and endocrine disorders that can cause gender dysphoria. These are very rare. My kid is one of them.
Why don’t you hear more about these conditions in the media? Simple; it would expose the lie that gender dysphoria doesn’t have an underlying medical cause. It does. If tests rule those out, it’s mental, not physical, and surgery won’t cure it. Ergo, the gravy train stops.
For kids with these conditions and GD, approximately 80% will not be dysphoric by the time puberty ends. Only those ADULTS who remain dysphoric should be considered trans and, as ADULTS, may choose to pursue surgery (about .001% of the population).
So, mom fleeing Florida, you’ve been duped. You’re doing irreparable harm to your child.
Old FL bumpersticker ‘Leaving Florida? Take A Friend’.
Better yet, they should start leaving planet earth.
My thoughts exactly.
Just another typical lefty.
Or Los Angeles.
Will CNN ever clean up its act to become a respectable and legitimate news organization again? It’s about a half a step above MSNBC, but that’s not saying much.
The irony is that if FL was the state as portrayed in the media...
...the family wouldn’t be allowed to leave.
