The faith-based child-trafficking thriller Sound of Freedom has become one of the biggest, most unexpected box-office hits of the year. Released by upstart distributor, Angel Studios, the film has raked in $130 million (and counting) in the U.S., keeping pace with major studio releases like the Walt Disney-backed Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Paramount's latest Mission: Impossible adventure. And now, Sound of Freedom is going global.
Angel Studios has announced plans to release the film in 21 international markets, including Australia and South Africa.
The film's underdog success story isn't the only reason it's making headlines, though.
Since Sound of Freedom's July 4 release, there have been outlandish QAnon-centric conspiracy theories spread and refuted, as well as a screening hosted by former President Donald Trump and a link made between the film and years-old congressional testimony by Ashton Kutcher.

Sound of Freedom opens tomorrow night in my little town’s historic one screen theater, and I plan on being there at one of the showings this weekend, probably tomorrow night.

I don’t need to know anything from such self-appointed, totally biased, propaganda peddlers. They claim the moral high ground, but their foundation is a backed up sewer.
I saw the movie, and it was very well-made. It is definitely worth viewing. Be prepared to be upset with the world and our country after viewing.

They can call it ‘faith based’ or ‘qanon’ related all they want, they’d probably be better off letting it slip back under the radar rather than giving it free advertising.
My husband had to buy tickets yesterday to get a Saturday showing. We were frozen out the last two weekends.
I’m already ticked at everything. Have been for a long time. Ukraine and US are at the top of list for trafficking and its been this way for a long time.

For some reason, the only anti-pedophile movie ever made is the object of slander by the MSM. Perhaps Jim Caviezel should hold a news conference, complete with briefing charts, detailing the vast left-wing conspiracy theory. No one would call him a conspiracy theorist.

Thanks for the heads up. The box office here doesn’t open until an hour before showtime tomorrow night. No advance tickets as far as I can tell, but I’ll check.
