The Top Five States Sending the Most High Earners to Florida All Have This One Thing in Common
PJ Media ^ | 07/25/2023 | Stephen Green

The Florida Chamber of Commerce might just have a message for the five states sending the most high earners to the Sunshine State, even if it’s a sure thing they’ll never listen.

It’s one thing to read dry news reports about how residents of states like New York and California have been losing residents to Ron DeSantis’ Florida. Despite cries of “KILLER!” from the Left and the media (but I repeat myself), Florida was one of the first states to fully end the idiotic COVID-19 lockdowns. Between that, no personal income tax, low regulation, and schools that are being drop-kicked back into teaching the three Rs, Florida has been attracting new residents like iron filings to a magnet.

But it’s another thing to put those numbers in dollar terms because everybody — particularly the greedy tax collectors in places like Albany and Sacramento — loves their greenbacks. So those dry news reports become a lot more exciting when we look at just how much income has made its way to the Sunshine State.

That’s exactly what the Florida Chamber of Commerce has done with its 2023 Business & Economic Midyear Report, covering the period from July 2021 to June 2022. It’s safe to say that things have changed much in the last 12 months, but we’ll have to wait until that data is collected before we know for sure.

So let’s look at what we do know.

Believe it or not, former residents of just five states make up more than half of the income that’s headed south — not for the winter, but practically forever.

They are:

Here’s the shocker: Each one of those states is ruled completely by Democrats.

Five governor’s office and both sides of four state assemblies are dominated by Dems. There are barely any statewide GOP elected officials in any of those states. Five total, with none at all in New York or New Jersey. Democrats are free to impose their policies almost without opposition and the results are…

…well, they’re short nearly $23 billion in earning power that Democrats no longer control.

In this case, the money involved is one of those zero-sum games in which Florida’s gain is their loss.

Message: Stop electing Democrats.

Actually those numbers look low, take California at 3.6 billion, it’s possible that was one person, how many billionaires live in California and if one moves they could easily take 3.6 billion with them, it’s kind of the same in all those states

agreed. CA has lost far more income than that. people used to retire here but now it is a massive outflow as they look to escape.

Red states should not allow voting for new residents for the first four years. Give them a chance to learn the value of living in civilization.

Most High Earners to Florida

Good. They should be able to afford the HO insurance near the beach.

watching and waiting for the blue-state cash claw back that we ALL know is coming soon. “YOU can move but your money can’t!” will be the rally cry of every blue state, from the governor down to the dog catcher, and they and the complicit media will blame those leaving for causing them to have to do it. when the other team keeps changing the rules because you keep winning it eventually becomes tiring and not worth playing anymore.

"stupid poor people"

Uneducated poor people for sure, but even that misses the point.

They are importing have nots.

The whole game is for the truly haves to divide the have nots by creating the illusion that the haves are one race, one gender, one religion, one gender, etc... and the have nots will become haves if they vote for them. We are all have nots compared to the real haves who run our government, all governments.

Where human nature falls short, is people can be easily lured into adopting a victim mentality to avoid the anxiety of having to face the truth it is their own lack of effort that has resulted in their economic condition.

So powerful is this political weapon, people will and do believe anyone making a dollar more than they are, are the haves.

It is this illusion that keeps weak minded people who are dishonest with themselves voting for Democrats.

According to Christian Ziegler, RPOF Chairman, as of June 30, the Republican Party of Florida has an advantage of more than a half a million voters over the DNC in the Sunshine State.

A lot of Kali economic refugees made it to Texas and didn’t keep going. We like it just fine here and outside of Austin, most of the Kali bullsh-—ery we fled from has stayed away.

My GF in the midwest loves the beach though, so the Emerald Coast may be in my future (retirement years - I am making too much scratch in D to walk away from) too...

Minnesota would be next on that list. 1.5 billion in AGI lost in 2021.

MN is currently 100% run by rats.

We get California refugees here in Florida - but lots of California folks go to Texas... The fact we get any is amazing - almost never happened years ago.
