U.S. Judge Lewis A. Kaplan says that former President Donald J. Trump may be said to have “raped” E. Jean Carroll, even though a jury specifically declined to find that he had done so in his recent civil trial in New York.
Aaron Blake of the Washington Post reported the judge’s finding — approvingly, calling it a “clarification”:
[Kaplan] says that what the jury found Trump did was in fact rape, as commonly understood.
The filing from Judge Lewis A. Kaplan came as Trump’s attorneys have sought a new trial and have argued that the jury’s $5 million verdict against Trump in the civil suit was excessive. The reason, they argue, is that sexual abuse could be as limited as the “groping” of a victim’s breasts.

“The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was ‘raped’ within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump ‘raped’ her as many people commonly understand the word ‘rape,’ ” Kaplan wrote.
The jury found that Trump had not raped Carroll, but found him liable for sexual abuse and battery, based on claims about an encounter in a department store dressing room, though Carroll could not remember the year

There really needs to be a swift mechanism for removing judges that are clearly biased to this extreme. Granted, every judge has some biases, but at least most are able to keep it to themselves.
They haven’t even proven WHEN it happened. They haven’t tried to say when it happened. They know that the President could then prove he wasn’t there at that time.

Judges sure went downhill now that they let anybody be one. But hey! If it weren’t for the judge jobs, they’d all be working the fries guys jobs at fast food joints or driving for Uber.

When it comes to Donald Trump, throw out the law and make something up. Hell, even the FBI (AKA FIB) and DOJ fabricate the charges based on Democrat lies. But then, who has license to determine what “disinformation” and “misinformation” is.
She was SO traumatized by the “rape” that she could not remember the year it happened.
Of course, no woman would remember the date (or even the YEAR) when she is assaulted by a rapist. Happens all the time. /spit
so we have a jury say “Nope- NO rape” and then a judge coming out and declaring “What the jury really meant was that here was rape”
How can anyone get a fair trial with such judges?
This is why Israel voted to remove some judicial powers.
