Donna Hansbrough, 68, was offered her job back after being fired following the June 25 incident, the company said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
"After senior management became aware of the incident and spoke to Donna Hansbrough today, we are reinstating her job and we are pleased that she has accepted the offer to return to Lowe’s," the statement said. "First and foremost, there’s nothing more important than the safety of our customers and associates. Products can be replaced; people cannot."

Perhaps they've hired her to man the machine gun turret that's being constructed right next to the main doors of the store. :-P
Good.
Good for Lowe’s. A small step in the right direction for this country.
I do agree, but I’m skeptical. I’m glad for her - she seems like a wonderful woman.
Probably because of the outrage that she was fired in the first place. Lowe’s trying to make nice but too late.
I bet she has to take a reeducation class or two.
She’s better than I am. I would have told them to F off and expect a call from my attorney.
Yep, that’s what I thought. Her Go Fund Me page has been disabled now. $25,110 was raised.
Either that, my good FRiend, or the "response" to their actions has proved to be a re-education camp for Lowes Mgt, especially lawyer weasels.
As of this announcement, I feel that I can return to Lowes.
It’s not too late for me, although I shop at Home Depot. Managers will make mistakes from time to time and it’s good see home office repairing what was done in their name.
I did not expect them to do this in our risk-adverse & enormous civil damages awarding litigious culture. Good for them.

The store probably got a storm of bad publicity.
If she takes her job back, I hope she follows store policy, vs the instinct to right a clear wrong as it happens.
At this point, she needs to stop giving interviews about her employer. Resist the urge to get even more attention over this incident.
She seems to be slow to anger, bumble, with a forgiving nature, and willing to accept considerable suffering with dignity.
We could use more fellow citizens like her.
Give her a promotion
...humble.... (LOL)
Did they reinstate her current wage and benefits, or did they screw her out of them?
She’s better than I am. I would have told them to F off and expect a call from my attorney.
.......
Bingo. That’s probably the only reason they rehired. Lawsuit averted.
Surprising and hope it is the beginning of a trend to respect and support workers who are trying to do the right thing.
She should use that money to buy a firear, get training, and get her CCW so she’s not a victim again in the future.
