Russia Targets Ukraine’s Farm Storage Sites

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – Russia followed its withdrawal from a grain export deal by expanding its attacks from port infrastructure to farm storage buildings in Ukraine’s Odesa region Friday, while also practicing a Black Sea blockade.

Other Russian missiles damaged what officials described only as an “important infrastructure facility” southwest of the port city of Odesa, in what appeared to be an effort to cripple Ukraine’s food exports.

Attacks in recent days have put Odesa in Russia’s crosshairs after Moscow abandoned a wartime deal that allowed Ukraine to send grain through the key Black Sea port.

Russia pounded Ukraine’s southern cities, including the port city of Odesa, with drones and missiles for a third consecutive night in a wave of strikes that has destroyed some of the country’s critical grain export infrastructure.

In the attack on the storage site, two low-flying cruise missiles started a blaze, then another struck during firefighting efforts, regional Gov. Oleh Kiper said. The barrage injured two people, damaged equipment and destroyed 100 metric tons (110 tons) of peas and 20 metric tons (22 tons) of barley, Kiper said.

Russia targeted Ukrainian critical grain export infrastructure after vowing to retaliate for what it said was a Ukrainian attack that damaged a crucial bridge between Russia and the Moscow-annexed Crimean Peninsula.

“The enemy is continuing terror, and it’s undoubtedly related to the grain deal,” said Natalia Humeniuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian military’s Operational Command South.

Here's what they were targeting when they "accidentally" struck that church.

Ukraine was the 4th largest grain exporter in the world. If the War ended today, it would take 10 years to recover.

Grain prices in Africa will at least triple. The last time grain doubled, we got the Arab Spring.

Are Putin and Biden comrades in arms destroying the food supplies? Maybe taking suggestions from Soros?

Here's one for ya, Natalia:

How's about not attacking the Kerch Bridge in Russia?

Are Russians gonna stop attacking Ukrainian bridges or is this a one way deal?

400,000 people depend on Ukraine’s grain and food stuffs exports. Russia is making itself a pariah for generations to come.

I think it's a one-way deal.

Deal with it.

Nah, I think the Ukrainians will keep blowing up the Kerch Bridge then.

Russia is making itself a pariah for generations to come.

Russia offered them free grain, so that shoots that particular neoconned talking point in the keester.

Rush back to CXiNN/PMSNBC/SeeBS/NBCIA/GayBC to get your next viable Talking Point.

If they wish to continue punching themselves in the face, I have no problem with that.

What audience will the last living Ukrainian have to impress when he or she goes over the top into the Russian guns?

Russia is looking to starve Africa. That’s probably at the bequest of their Chinese overlords.

Russia should know that climbing into bed with China is a non winner for them.

But, savages don’t usually have a ton of long term thinking.

Fighting the invaders of your country is such a dishonorable activity. I understand the concept of honor is lost on Russians. I cannot imagine suggesting a man defending his home from invaders is anything less than heroic.

The dead defenders of The Ukraine ARE heroic.

The Russians seem to be following Patton's advice on the enemy.

I cannot imagine suggesting a man defending his home from invaders is anything less than heroic.

There are a whole lotta us Americans who are less than heroic, then - as The Illegal Hordes of The Tater pour across our open southern border...

By offering Africa free grain.

History repeats. In the 1930’s the Russians starved at least 10 million in the Ukraine. They did not just TAKE all the regular food and grain. They took all the animals.

Robert Conquest book Terror Famine is great.

I HIGHLY recommend the movie Mr Jones (2019). It is not in a documentary format, but it perfectly portrays a real person who traveled to the Ukraine in the middle of the Terror Famine. It also portrays the evil that is the New York Times. Duranty doing everything he can to hide the truth.

Why would anyone believe Zelensky, Biden and the West care about feeding people when their business model is color revolutions, anarchy and killing innocent people?
