President Joe Biden has a lot in common with one of his fellow Democratic White House predecessors, according to columnist and author Kimberley Strassel.
In her new book “The Biden Malaise: How America Bounces Back From Joe Biden’s Dismal Repeat of the Jimmy Carter Years,” Strassel details the parallels between Jimmy Carter’s 1977-1981 presidency and Biden’s today.
Of course, after Carter came President Ronald Reagan, and while Strassel says there is no copy of Reagan running for president in 2024, candidates should learn from Reagan’s optimism and vision for the country.
Strassel, a member of The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board, joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the book and to offer her insights into how the U.S. can “bounce back” after the Biden presidency.

I’m pulling for basementside chats…
.
The difference being that Carter, while being anti-Semitic / anti Israel and a card carrying Socialist, was a decent and honorable man. Today’s DemonRat Party would call him a White Supremacist.
Fireside Naps?
That Israeli man was looking around like, should I be worried…
Biden voted for all of Carter’s policies. Barak is running this show.
Re the article, our malaise is similar to Carter's impotent term, but there's a big difference, viz. when it came time to replace him, our votes mattered. Trump is president but was impeded by deep state corruption. And we all know it. Liberals applaud it. Patriots hate it.
That’s right. Why do you think Barry lives only a couple of miles away from coke central.
Lol, yep.
He looked to the camera, or staff, multiple times.
Biden is such an embarrassment.
My retirement investment keep getting larger.
Inflation down to 3%
Unemployment 3.6%
No malaise
Are you trolling?
Newish account.
Bragging and saying the economy is good has me suspicious.
Biden is saying what he is told to say. No one in his family or circle of friends are affected by the inflation going on.
Another comparison to the Carter years is that the President and the dims in congress were attacking the oil industry back then also. Gas lines, $10 maximum fill up, odd even days and inflation/shortages caused by their interfering with the oil industry. They were also talking about windfall profits taxes back then. I have heard that recently from some in the CPUSA party.
