Howdy, luvie.
We never forget them.
I hope your day wasn’t as boring as mine. The big “excitement”? Gassing up the car so it’s ready to roll this weekend. LOL

My fingers are crossed for luck!
I hope you’re getting the nice, steady rainfall they’re getting at the airports. Heavy enough to do some good but light enough to all soak in.

Putting on Humility
[Jesus] took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.
The CEO of a frozen treats franchise went undercover on the television series
Undercover Boss, donning a cashier’s uniform. Working at one of the franchise’s stores, her wig and makeup disguised her identity as she became the “new” employee. Her goal was to see how things were really working from the inside and on the ground. Based on her observations, she was able to solve some of the issues the store was facing.
Jesus took on a “humble position” (Philippians 2:7 nlt) to solve our issues. He became human—walking the earth, teaching us about God, and ultimately dying on a cross for our sins (v. 8). This sacrifice exposed Christ’s humility as He obediently gave His life as our sin offering. He walked the earth as a man and experienced what we experience—from ground level.
As believers in Jesus, we’re called to have the “same attitude” as our Savior especially in our relationships with other believers (v. 5 nlt). God helps us to clothe ourselves in humility (v. 3) and adopt the mindset of Christ (v. 5). He prompts us to live as servants ready to meet others’ needs and willing to lend a helping hand. As God leads us to humbly love others, we’re in a better position to serve them and to compassionately seek solutions to the issues they face. Reflect & Pray
How can you lovingly address the needs and issues others are facing? What does it mean for you to live out the humility of Jesus?
Holy God, thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus for me. Please give me the mindset of Christ as I humbly serve my brothers and sisters.

Hey there, radu!
I guess my day was boring. Hard to tell. Most of my days are about the same. I do what I want, when I want. And then take a nap. LOL! Today we had mid-week bible class, so there was that.
Gassing up the car is no fun. But it does get you out of the house for a bit. I know you’re looking forward to the weekend. Hope the weather cooperates so you have lots of fun guests at the museum.

Good evening, luvie...we will never forget them. The USA is here because of those sacrifices. Now we just need to keep it together against those that would destroy us.

We will have to be strong and loud to win against the people who hate us. Not the time to be passive. Though there is just so much one “senior citizen” can do. It’s really frustrating.

That was a good reason to get out of the house for a bit.
I gas up the car every week, even though it’s far from empty each time. It isn’t as painful that way. LOL It’s a big car with a big engine and a big gas tank.
It’s supposed to be wet again Friday as a cold front moves through, then dry over the weekend. Not much of a cool-down since we’ll still have high 80s but it won’t be as muggy. I hope it brings people out.

That weather sounds great for mid-summer. I’d take it in a heartbeat. This is the time of year when time stops. Too darn hot and we know it’s going to last for several more months.
I hope you get another nice long rain on Friday...in spite of the fact that you’ll have to drive in it. That way maybe the farmers can relax a bit.
It’s 90 here right now and 70 there. Do you know how much I’d LOVE 70 degrees??? LOL! Muggy or not! :)

Yeah, the weekend’s weather won’t be bad at all for this time of year. It’ll be short-lived, though, since we’ll be back in the 90s next week.
I don’t know that we’ll have long rainfall. It’s just in the forecast and we’ll take what we can get.
It’s a clammy 70 here and not pleasant for sitting outside. Also, I think the rain has awakened the mold, based on how my sinuses react if I step outside. Now through August is mold spore season and it can be rough. When it ends, the ragweed kicks in. LOL This is a bad area for allergy sufferers but I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I HAVE lived elsewhere but I came back and am here to stay.

That band of rain finally moved enough to the west that it should give you rain for a while. The showers are moving north to south, kinda like what moved through here earlier today. Light showers but they add up.

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
He also got to meet his BFF Ringo at the vet yesterday.

There are always the good things about “home” that outweigh the bad. I wish I could find them here. LOL! Enjoy the comfortable weather while it’s there. It helps to renew the energy that the heat saps.

I will say I miss living in NC. Pretty much the same weather but it’s a short drive to the ocean. I miss that part.
But I love the farm and have no desire to leave.
Upper 80s might be comfortable to you but that’s still mighty hot to me. It’s outside my comfort zone. I’m a wimp. LOL

Nah, you aren’t a wimp. It’s all what you’re used to. I’d simply die in that humidity. It’s like drowning in hot water. LOL! So that’s how I’m a wimp.
Guess I’d better finish this show and get some sleep. Didn’t get much of a nap this afternoon. Oh, poor me. 🤣 See ya again Saturday night. I hope you have a very fun weekend!
