It's nice to see that there's still some justice left in America, at least when skin color isn't a factor and the media doesn't need to advance the Narrative™.
From WSPA:
The Buncombe County District Attorney ruled that a North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) trooper's deadly force was justified in a July 3 shooting along Interstate 26 in Buncombe County.
Investigators said Trooper Jeffrey Dunlap was assisting a stranded motorist around 7:35 p.m. on I-26 near Long Shoals Road when that motorist pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.
Nobody's releasing video yet, but the snapshot tells the story:
The man, Wesley Scott Taylor, was firing a .44 Magnum, and Trooper Dunlap's ballistic vest took care of it like it was a pancake:
Dunlap understandably drew his sidearm and unloaded on Taylor, who was then killed.
The district attorney said that "no criminal charges will be filed in this matter" and the state "may close this investigation."

Very odd circumstance. And the gun the perp used looks to be a Desert Eagle 44 which is a rather pricey firearm, comparatively speaking. Not really a gun I've ever wanted, but still pricey.
Like I said, strange circumstance. Then again, America has become strange, and moreso every day.

There is no racial issue here. It appears that both the officer and the gunman were white. The gunman may have been on some drug or conceivably could have been one of those crazies who oppose all governmental authority.
