It’s been a challenge for sure. Even though we’re used to summer heat, this is beyond anything we were ready for. Just day after day, week after week of 100+ days with few clouds, not much of a breeze and zero rain....except for 1 small rain 2 weeks ago. We’re drained, as I am sure radu is.

Good evening, mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Hope your area is not suffering from the smoke, and you are enjoying the weather you want.

Yep, it’s dangerous weather for a lot of us. I feel bad for the folks who work outside, or live in houses with no AC. I’ve been through summers like this before with no AC and it was rough.
And I feel bad for your kitties and all the other critters outside. Only a few hours of relief in the middle of the night.
Our rain the next several days won’t cool us off overall. It’ll be scattered showers and once they pass, it’ll be steamier than ever. I don’t expect much of a crowd at the museum this weekend.

Hey there, Kathy.
I did get all my outside stuff done, though I did a few minutes of spraying Round-Up this afternoon. A VERY few minutes. No more outside stuff for a while!
Yep, luvie and I are having a rough time, as are a whole lotta other folks. El Nino and a very active sun are making a mess of things this summer.
A kiddy pool wouldn’t be enough. LOL

We’ve been a little luckier than you, luvie, with a few breaks in the heat like the last few days. The heat and humidity sure came back with a vengeance today though. It’s definitely draining.

I guess I'm thankful that we haven't had horrible tornadoes or the extreme flooding that Vermont had earlier this week.
But this just seems unrelenting.
And that sun thing? Has zippo, zero, nada to do with humans or stupid "climate change. No way we control that monster.

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.
We had quite a day yesterday here in our home town. We had 5 power blinks, 2 in the 1 PM hour and 3 in the 3 PM hour. Some places ended up without power for a time. We apparently had some transformers over heat in this very hot weather which caused some of those problems. We'll see how things go today with another Excessive Heat Warning.
I have a dentist appointment this morning. We're going to try to do the lake early today before it gets way too hot.
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
Stay cool and stay safe today. it's a hot baby out there!!!!!
How's everyone doing this morning/

Hi Kathy, we are doing well. Back to the grind after a long weekend away
for our anniversary. The smoke comes and goes so air quality differs from
day to day. Otherwise all is well and we did not want to come back..
New York still sucks, more by the day.

Howdy, howdy Early Birds!
Yes, I'd rather be on a nice cool beach!
But....how 'bout those brave troops!
They work so hard to keep us safe and free!
...and truthfully, it's getting harder every day!
Hope y'all have a Thank-The-Troops Thursday!
(((hugs)))

Hey there, luvie.
Sorry I disappeared last night. It dawned on me I had to get up early this morning to take Dexter back to the vet so I needed to rush to get things done and go to bed.
Another stifling day here. It started out ok because it was cloudy and that kept the temp down to mid 80s. A few showers popped up in the area, though not here, and the sun came out afterwards. Now it’s in the 90s and I think the humidity matches. Ugh!

Great, great pictures.....thanks.
To: Kathy in Alaska
That picture is priceless!!!!
To: radu
I wondered where you went. LOL! Hope Dexter got a good report from the vet.
I know that even when your temp is in the 90s, it’s about the same as ours is when it’s over 100 because of your humidity. It must be pretty miserable. Even rain isn’t refreshing during this time.
Hope that the AC keeps things comfy at the museum or it’s gonna be a looooong weekend! See ya Saturday!
