Prigozhin probably committed suicide. With six rifle shots.

My question would be how could Putin afford not to purge the rogue general?

Why should we accept Abrams’ opinion on this?
To: desertsolitaire
One would guess Yevgeny if alive could easily disprove this.

Just in case:
Prigozhin didn’t kill himself.

I am skeptical about relying on any ex-military officer who provides information or analysis on the Ukraine war.

How ridiculous to say this. Unless this person can prove it, don’t say it.

When Russian politics or military is the subject, it is safer to say “Nobody knows nothing!”
They are just as mysterious, just as opaque as they were when called the Soviet Union.
To: desertsolitaire
That’s a very bizarre assertion without any evidence to back that up.

Former” senior military leaders” promoted under obama, are little more than a clutch of gossiping gentleman’s club cocktail circuit idle sheep-dipped civilian “ military analysts” raking in gratuitous payments from think tanks and defense contractors that depend on war threat for their existence
Its scary to think that they were once making real decisions about defeating an enemy that has shown how little they knew him, and makes fools of them every day
