Arguably no issue is less partisan, and more likely to unite people of every political stripe, even in our current state of hyper-polarization, than child trafficking. How could opposition to the cruel kidnapping of children and their forced recruitment into the international sex trade fail to draw unified support from all corners? And yet when a movie comes along that dares to address this uncomfortable topic, this horrific evil, head-on – a movie aimed not only at raising awareness but at inspiring action – the Left curiously rallies to undermine it with partisan smears and ugly innuendo.
Angel Studios’ Sound of Freedom opened last week, a thriller based on the captivating true story of Tim Ballard, a Homeland Security Special Agent frustrated by the lack of effective rescue strategies and prosecutorial authority to help trafficked children in underdeveloped nations. Ballard decided to circumvent the law enforcement bureaucracy to find a more direct, if dangerous, way to undertake the rescue of missing children. In 2013 he founded Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to saving children from sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. The organization reportedly has undertaken more than a dozen sting operations. Actor Jim Caveziel brings his passionate intensity to the portrayal of Ballard in the film.
Caveziel, you will remember, is best-known for his astonishing turn as Jesus Christ in the Mel Gibson-directed blockbuster The Passion of the Christ, the movie that opened the eyes of many Hollywood executives who didn’t believe or care that there was a massive audience out there in flyover America hungry for entertainment fare that didn’t trash their faith. Caveziel, openly Christian and conservative in an industry dominated by secular elites, calls Sound of Freedom the most important movie he’s done since Passion.

The open border is about trafficking of child sex slaves.
I hear rumblings about this.
Spiritual rumblings.
This plays as political but it’s so much more.
Time to release the DVD. I refuse to go see a movie at the theater anymore. Comfort om home & all that. 🙂
Yep it’s hard to see what the controversy is about.
All decent people are opposed to trafficking.
Since all decent people are against trafficking , how could anyone take issue with a serious film that explores the subject?
Since all decent people are opposed to trafficking, how could anyone take issue with the film that tells the true story of a brave man who did what he could to fight against trafficking?
Of course the Hollywood and media elite panic at the sight of a movie portraying the sale and sexual exploitation of children. They’ve been doing it themselves for years.
Human trafficking, drugs, creating new voters, get political contributions from them & facilitate the destruction of this nation.
The left doesn’t care about children, any more than it cares about homosexuals and minorities. Everyone is just a tool for the acquisition of power to the communists, then they’re disposable.
The battle in the heavenlies is fierce. We are witnessing an earthly manifestation of that battle between good and evil.
“The open border is about trafficking of child sex slaves.”
I’ve been screaming that since zero was in office.
Anyone who supports open borders SUPPORTS HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
Go and see it at the theatre. The box office revenues is one way to show that WE are the majority. Let’s not be silent about it.
It’s showing every two hours here. I saw it today. It was ok. A long movie. It was global as it wasn’t in America. They focused on a son and daughter exclusively. The guy leaves his six children for an extended period of time to go off to Central America to find Mexicans. It was definitely a global adventure. The guy cursed ever second. Wasn’t necessary for the story. I will say it was part of the one world global leadership countries are trying to push in movies and government today. Go see it if you are into the one world governing future.
The not-so-hidden agenda of the Left is sexualizing children so they can eventually legalize adults having sex with children. Since this film pushes back, they hate it like vampires and roaches hate sunshine.
#1 at the box office on Monday...$46 million after ONE week...not bad.
Yup
. . . the Left curiously rallies . . .
Shove this in Newsom and the rest faces:
“By Any Means Necessary”
With a good Christian based movie like this, mr. mm and I will go to the theater to give it the money and numbers.
The left needs to see that this sort of thing is what people want and the only way to do it is go when it is showing in the theaters. And judging by the left’s reaction to it’s unexpected by them, popularity, it is working.
I want to buy the DVD as well.
