But this is just inertia. And there are other brands out there.
Shake the customer enough and they will transfer their apathy to some new brand and they ain't coming back.
Must be galling to Budlight to realize they did this to themselves.
They foolishly heeded a tiny percentage of the citizenry thinking ALL Americans were in sync with a few weird perverts.
How wrong they were.
The local Walmart grocery has Bud light in the cooler - behind a support post. You’d pretty much have to move a couple of cases of another brand to work out a package of Bud light. The hot Bud light is as easy to get to as any of the other out of the cooler beers.
I don’t even remember...
I just know that I will never purchase their cheese again...
Something to do with deplorable I think
I really don’t remember.. it’s been that long...
What these companies need to be reminded of is that any business plan that automatically alienates half of your potential customer base is doomed to failure
The CEO’s response to the Dylan Mulvaney ad basically told us that he was in on it or approved of it before or after the fact (and/or had nurtured an environment that would push this agenda).
Bud light is like sex in a canoe.
It’s ******* near water.
Was reading yesterday that Bud Light had dropped out of the
top ten selling beers. I believe it is now listed at about
14th.
Seriously, wow...
I think the frustration level in the average middle class
male is so high these days, that something like this looms
large as a way to give these people a voice.
What else can we do, that packs this much of a wallop?
I’m not a big beer drinker these days, but Bud Light was
my favorite of the light beers.
It’s kind of sad that I can’t drink it anymore, but after
what the corporation did, I’m out.
I don’t wish harm on transsexuals. Do your thing, but shut
up about it. Quit grooming children.
When they and corporations try to promote it, I’m out.
It’s not normal, and it’s simply not something I want to
see grow exponentially.
JC Penney and their two mommies catalogue was first. BTW, anyone been to a pennies lately, oh wait
Yes, I can understand most everything about this except for their complete paralysis. Maybe they were told by AB or InBev corporate to shut up and let it blow over. Maybe apologizing for this mistake would tick off enough activists to affect their corporate ESG scores. Whatever reason, it's pretty obvious by now that something is more important to AB than having the top-selling beer in the country for 20 years. And $27 billion market cap.
LOL! My old GF bought a Subaru last week (mainly because it was one of the few cars available In the US with a manual transmission). She was shocked when I told her Subaru is the car of lesbians.
You've put it as SIMPLY and CONCISELY as I've seen it stated.
I stopped buying goose island which is also owned by AB and will never buy it again.
A former female coworker and good friend purchased a Subaru a few years ago. She too was unaware of the Subaru/Lesbian connection which I promptly (along with her boyfriend…now husband) made her aware of.
She lovingly refers to her car as the “Lesburu”.
Maybe even ridicule by a real woman, like me.
I saw a guy a couple of weeks ago with Bud Light Peach in his cart. I gave him a break, because what guy drinks peach anything? Must’ve been for his gal, and he’s obviously not man enough to tell her to go buy her own beer.
If we could harness this power and take down other woke companies, corporations and professional organizations.............
Kid Rock put a serious hurt on AB.
I don’t think it will survive to 2024.
AB InBev has a portfolio of cheap, commodity beers, from Budweiser (don’t compare it to the original Czech Budweiser) to Stella Artois. These are forgettable, bad beer.
People who switch will not return.
AB InBev will split into parts I’m guessing
Light beers do not differ much. I am not sure I could distinguish a Bud Light from a Miller lite in a blind tasting. So, they know that their sales are based mostly on image and marketing. And they decided to alienate the majority of their customers. Brilliant. You had to go to an Ivy League school to get that smart.
