Chilling advice for Putin: You can save Russia, crush West, with nukes
American Family News ^ | 7/7/23 | Chad Groening, Billy Davis

A national defense analyst says NATO and the West need to pay attention to Russia’s repeated warnings about using nuclear weapons, this time from a notable academic who concludes Russia must consider nukes to stop NATO expansion and to “save humanity” from the West.

“Russia and its leadership seem to be facing a difficult choice,” begins the academic paper by Sergei Karaganov. “It becomes increasingly clear that a clash with the West cannot end even if we win a partial or even a crushing victory in Ukraine.”

That frightening document, which published in late June, goes on for another 2,900 words to conclude using “God’s weapon of Armageddon” will prevent – not create – a worsening crisis in Europe. "The enemy must know," he writes, "that we are ready to deliver a preemptive strike in retaliation for all of its current and past acts of aggression in order to prevent a slide into global thermonuclear war."

The word "nuclear" is used 27 times and "nuclear weapon" is used 10 times by Karaganov, a historian and political scientist.

Russia leadership’s view is they are backed into a corner. It really doesn’t matter what everyone else’s view is.

A valid point and one missed by most everyone.

The concept of NATO attacking Russia is absurd to us, but Russia has its own history and memory and we are pushing weapons of war upon their borders with NATO expansion.

I am always amazed to see the reactions of people in the West to any violation of the Monroe Doctrine or the idea that China (or Russia) would stage bases in Cuba, Mexico, or even Central and South America.

I think Putin is a very corrupt leader and it is shameful how much wealth he and his oligarch cronies have siphoned off from the Russian people, but it is up to them to get rid of him - not us. Russia is an odd duck and for every pragmatic strong-man they have two warmongers waiting below the throne.

This war in the Ukraine needs to end and we should promote peace that is good for all sides, but instead we continue to spend money we don’t have on weapons we lack to make peace less likely. Our CIA and State Department is/was knee deep in this and most of the world sees it more clearly than people here on FR. Just my .02

If it comes down to the survival of Putin and his regime or nuclear weapons they will use nukes. When you are the wealthiest man in the world in a country like Russia you and your regime don’t simply walk away. The next guy will take every penny from you and eventually your life.

“Link please.”

I’m still waiting on your link from your post #28, which I requested in my post #69. Is it forthcoming?

Why else have Ukraine in NATO if they won’t be getting nukes? That’s what the discussions are.

I’m staying w/June. I say that because we have all the necessary mutual animosities among the players just waiting to be triggered, but we don’t yet have the Black Swan event — by its nature unpredictable — that will make them take leave of their senses. That event doesn’t have to be intentional...a mistake can be just as deadly when all the triggers are set on ‘hair.’

"Are you seriously claiming Truman had Patton killed?"

No. It's just an old conspiracy theory that's been around since the late 40s.

Link, please.

There have been no discussions about providing Ukraine with nukes. You just make stuff up, Bob; and you always have. In any event, there are a LOT of NATO members who have no nukes within in their country.

So, please provide a link that supports your claim that NATO wants to bring Ukraine into NATO so that NATO can base nukes there. Because, Bob, that is your claim.

“I’m staying w/June.”

But no one else is.

On June 28, 1914 Franz Ferdinand, the heir-apparent to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife were killed in Sarajevo in Bosnia — which was within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, by an Austro-Hungarian subject, Gavrilo Princip (though he was of Serbian ethnicity). He was arrested almost immediately, and within days others were arrested, all of whom were also Bosnians and thus Austro-Hungarian subjects.

They were not Serbian subjects or citizens.

It was several days before Austria-Hungary accused Serbia of any connection to the assassination (and there was never any evidence that the Serbian government had any involvement at all). But, it met the purposes of Austria-Hungary. All that was in July, 1914.

Ukraine winning the war and making them go home seems unlikely at this juncture.
Barring more advanced or massive quantities of weapons delivered and or troops from outside Ukraine joining in without triggering the use of strategic nuclear weapons. That being said I do believe many surprises await us all in this conflict and there will be unexpected twists and turns.

Putin might be a scoundrel, but he’s not certifiable. He won’t do it.

Today, they are saying that Ukraine’s use of cluster bombs will save lives overall.
Down the road, they will say that Ukraine’s use of Tactical Nukes, will “save lives” overall.

It was the same rationale used in the decision to drop the A-Bombs on Japan.

And the little haberdasher killed Patton for suggesting we wipe out the Soviet Union after the war ended.

That was the correct plan. But by not doing that, the MIC got very very big and many US Industrialists also benefited.
Truman was all-in for the Global UN agenda. The Korean Conflict fiasco was a “UN” operation.

At least they let MacArthur live after he wanted to nuke Chyna.

China would Love for Russia and NATO to exchange nukes...
In the aftermath, China would take over the world, just sooner than they planned.

There may have been a desire to kill General MacArthur, but with Patton and Secretary of Defense Forrestal suffering deaths deemed suspicious, assassinating him may have been considered a bridge too far. MacArthur was tremendously popular, as evidenced by the huge parade in New York and his popular "Old Soldiers Never Die" speech before Congress, both after Truman fired him.

The workaround was using Eisenhower, another popular general but one more amenable to the Eastern Establishment, to get the GOP nomination, blocking both Senator Robert Taft, an isolationist conservative, and MacArthur, who was not willing to play hardball politics.

Japan is also considered by some people to have nuclear weapons but with the cores kept separate from their assemblies.

Taiwan is less likely to have nuclear weapons but it would make sense if they did.
