A national defense analyst says NATO and the West need to pay attention to Russia’s repeated warnings about using nuclear weapons, this time from a notable academic who concludes Russia must consider nukes to stop NATO expansion and to “save humanity” from the West.
“Russia and its leadership seem to be facing a difficult choice,” begins the academic paper by Sergei Karaganov. “It becomes increasingly clear that a clash with the West cannot end even if we win a partial or even a crushing victory in Ukraine.”
That frightening document, which published in late June, goes on for another 2,900 words to conclude using “God’s weapon of Armageddon” will prevent – not create – a worsening crisis in Europe. "The enemy must know," he writes, "that we are ready to deliver a preemptive strike in retaliation for all of its current and past acts of aggression in order to prevent a slide into global thermonuclear war."
The word "nuclear" is used 27 times and "nuclear weapon" is used 10 times by Karaganov, a historian and political scientist.

I’m sure your correct, I hope I’m wrong, I think we could hear calls from the War Crowd in Washington for US Ground Troops.
I could see a situation where it’s sold as a peacekeeping mission to provide Ukrainians with some type of safe space from Russian Forces.

Any nuclear capable country WILL use nukes if they start losing a war on their own soil.
Russia isn’t backed into a corner, it is attacking the kids in the street, it can go home any time it chooses.
Look at the neighborhood that Russia lives in, if it were badly damaged it would be completely picked apart, ended.
When do you suppose it will choose to go home with its troops?

I was posting that thought due to what it’s evil leadership probably is thinking about it’s own situation.
They feel cornered. They instigated it however.

There are still discussions going on regarding handing Ukraine a few nukes, so don’t be so sure that Russia will wait around for Ukraine to use their own first.
Putin needs to stick his finger in the air and see which way the wind blows - which is from west to east. Therefore, any nukes set off in Ukraine fallout will likely be blown back over Russia.
It is a little early to think that they will ever have to go home.
Ukraine would have to win the war to make them go home.
Don’t dismiss the possibility of NK starting it, especially with Biden in charge.

I think the Russian mindset is always that they are cornered and must conquer and enslave whichever neighbor is currently attracting their Russian paranoia and greed, which can only be calmed by acquiring that nation.

Correct but Russia is not backed into a corner. Maybe they think they are which means they are out of touch with reality.
