During a portion of an interview with Washington Post columnist and CNN host Fareed Zakaria set to air on Sunday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS” that was released on Friday, President Joe Biden defended his decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine by stating that Ukraine is “running out” of the ammunition that they need, and “we’re low on it.”
Biden said, “[I]t was a very difficult decision on my part. And by the way, I discussed this with our allies. I discussed this with our friends up on the Hill. And we’re in a situation where Ukraine continues to be brutally attacked across the board by munitions, by these cluster munitions that have dud rates that are very, very low — I mean, very high, that are a danger to civilians, number one.”

According to the official, a total of 12 companies in nine “member states are producing 155mm ammunition. The European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, will incentivize them to ramp up production, with guarantees of long-term demand, making the project interesting for them, the official said.”
I suspect, indeed, that "Trump is our last chance," and suggest a short survey of MS60's "In Forum" posts indicate his participation to date in FR threads.
As counterpoint to MS60 assertions, a look at the Wiki on the "Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists" is informative.

USA munitions typically cost 10x the Russian/Chinese stuff.
eg. Krasnopol 152mm laser guide. ~13,500
Excalibur 155mm. $168,000
155mm non-PG. $4000/ 4000 euros
Russian 152mm. $300
Even the stupid new 277 Fury high pressure is expected to cost the Pentagon. >$2 vs 20 cents for Russian AK ammunition
When you pay x10 for a lot of your stuff, a 900 billion budget doesn’t go as far as you would think.
II was thinking more of this being a vehicle for justifying the removal of Biden.
The main media dutifully makes an issue of the US supplying questionable munitions, the WH makes an “errors were made” admission, Biden makes a regretful speech drafted by his handlers and offers to step down “for the good of the country” and thus is lauded for falling on his sword - and goes out as a hero.
Or some such. Likely? Probably not.
The EU has been announcing about announcements and plans for a year. They keep upping the numbers while announcing delays and not producing anything
Name the factories:
-Scranton USA. (one forging press 500 rounds per shift)
-Washington UK. (one forging press 320 rounds per shift)
-Greek facto. (one forging press)
-Turkish factory. unknown
-France has a “factory” where they machine 300 rounds PER WEEK. (no forging press claimed or shown, buying forgings from someone else)
-some of the Scandinavian countries claim production none have a press
-Reinmetal has a factory in South Africa
The roadblock here is forging press capacity. The cycle time is 60-90 seconds per round
-Want more forging presses. Step 1 order one from China. As far as I can find, there is one remaining outfit in the USA producing 1000+ ton presses and they only have a few hundred employees.
I don’t think most Freepers have realized just how decadent and moronic the clown leadership of the West has become.
And the inability of the West (NATO + Japan Korea Australia is >1 billion people) to produce just 7000 rounds per day after a year of promises shows how decayed and futile they really are.
“The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-117), which President Bush signed into law December 16, 2009, prohibits the provision of military assistance for cluster munitions, the issuing of defense export licenses for cluster munitions, or the sale or transfer of cluster munitions or cluster munitions technology unless “the submunitions of the cluster munitions, after arming, do not result in more than 1 percent unexploded ordnance across the range of intended operational environments.” Moreover, any agreement “applicable to the assistance, transfer, or sale of such cluster munitions or cluster munitions technology” must specify that the munitions
“will only be used against clearly defined military targets and will not be used where civilians are known to be present or in areas normally inhabited by civilians.” Subsequent appropriations laws have included similar provisions; the most recent is the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2019 (P.L. 116-6), which President Trump signed into law on February 15, 2019.”

“The military departments and combatant commands, in keeping with U.S. legal obligations under CCW Protocol V on Explosive Remnants of War and consistent with past practices, would continue to record and retain information on the use of cluster munitions and provide relevant information to facilitate the removal or destruction of unexploded submunitions.”
“The Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM), inter alia, bans the use of cluster munitions, as well as their development, production, acquisition, transfer, and stockpiling.”
Denmark (and other Western European countries) apparently cannot allow the use of their airspace for cluster munitions transfer. And if the cluster munitions get sent via Turkey, the Russians may arm the Kurds big time.
Biden and Zelensky......Dumb and Dumber.
You aren’t posting the sources for your claims.
You seem to think that when 155 shells are a highly desired product that no one is interested in making the money by selling them.
Factory footage for Scranton, Washington, Hellenic, the French factory, and Rheinmetall are on YouTube.
You can actually see the forging press operate and measure the cycle time yourself. In some cases they give cycle times.
Just because there is money in it doesn’t mean that they can source the presses. With one US outfit, what is the lead time?
They have been dicking around with this issue for a year, and haven’t actually done anything.
As of Feb, Scranton had still not added a second shift. (11,000shells per month is one shift per day)
They are clowns, and anyone who believes them is deluded.

Ukraine war: Pressure builds on South Korea to send arms to Kyiv
Ukrainian death camp guards were among the most sadistic murderers of Jews in Eastern Europe during WWII. One of them, known as "Ivan the Terrible" who worked at Treblinka, was legendary in his sadism and murderous degeneracy.
And then, there were the infamous Trawniki men , Ukrainians and Lithuainians trained by the Nazis to butcher Jews, something they did with stridency and a perverse efficiency that shocked even some German camp guards.
For whatever reasons, Ukrainian and Lithuainian Nazi death camp guards were among the most sadistic of the war. They truly enjoyed their jobs.
You cannot whitewash what they did. That is an evil thing to try doing.
I can’t even put into words how Poles hate Ukrainians.
Did you ask the people? All I’ve talked to want zelensky to hang.
Aren’t you a gem?
Fresh off the boat from telegram and parroting a bunch of nonsense?
I think you’ll find on FR that your double digit IQ starting with the number 6 is no match. You rave like a rabid lefty.
Don’t you have a mass shooting to plan because you transitioned and now you hate Christians and feel you need to lash out?
Damn I despise intentional mental midgets.
Because it is true in this war of attrition.
And, our “Leaders” are lying politican’s and lawyers who know less than nothing bout everything
Rule #1 in a war… last side with bullets WINS!
This word salad moron has no awareness of what it is he’s attempting to read off the teleprompter but the consequence is that he’s just sending the Ukes to Cluster’s Last Stand.
Amen. A very significant Ukraine tactic is depriving the Russin’s hiding in their trenches of ammo. The ammo arrives and is promptly destroyed in the ammo dumps
This guy is such an idiot. There is really nothing else to say.
We apparently are dumping a lot of our unused and outdated munitions on Ukraine, and then we bill them for it. We “lend” them the money to buy it, but they are on the hook for it. Of course it will never get paid back, but our arms manufacturers get paid, and Joe and Obama get their 10%.
