What you need to know about the RSV virus as cases surge across the country
Daily Mail ^ | 7/7/23 | Olivia Day

A dangerous and highly contagious disease with no vaccine is spreading across Australia in record numbers this winter.

Experts have warned cases of RSV...recorded at 10 times the number than the same time last year.

.....

It is a similar story for other states and territories, with the exception of Queensland, which reported 16,332 confirmed cases of RSV from the start of the year to June 26.

Here, Daily Mail Australia reveals everything you need to know about RSV.

RSV stands for respiratory syncytial virus that targets the lungs and respiratory tract.

It is one of the major causes of lung infection in adults and children and can lead to more serious illnesses like pneumonia or bronchiolitis.

RSV is one of the most common causes of the common cold with runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever and headache.

Most people recover in one to two weeks, however others can be hospitalised.

What are the symptoms of RSV in adults?

The respiratory virus causes cold-like symptoms like runny nose, cough, sneezing, fever, wheezing, decreased appetite and fatigue.

Symptoms usually appear about five days after exposure and can get worse during the first three to four days with the illness.

What are the RSV symptoms for babies?

Babies under the age of one are more likely to develop breathing problems like pneumonia or bronchiolitis with RSV.

Infants can appear unsettled and have difficulty feeding.

Parents are encouraged to take their child to their GP if their cough worsens, they have less than half of their normal feeds, are refusing food and drink or if they seem very tired and are more sleepy than usual.

Parents should take their child to their closest emergency department if their baby is having difficulty breathing or are drawing in their chest with each breath.

It all started with that jolly swagman. He should have confronted the squatter and knocked him off the thoroughbred, but noooo! Instead he jumps into a billabong and kills himself. Didn’t even try to swim for it.

10 to 15% of those who have covid also have RSV at the same time.

“...is it possible that the jabs made people more suseptable to it...”

Of course. But that could also be opening the door to every little cold, flu, or germ/virus to do the same thing with a weakened immune system. So why that particular illness? I think they’re fishing with old bait hoping to catch new fish because of Australia’s public stance on the vaccine use more than the vaccine drawbacks themselves. And it is happening here in the US as well.

“The RSV virus is affecting the highly vulnerable populations, especially babies and children who were sheltered from common bugs during COVID-19, so their immune systems are not as prepared to fight the virus.”

https://www.bronsonhealth.com/news/rsv-is-on-the-rise/#:~:text=But%20why%20is%20there%20an,prepared%20to%20fight%20the%20virus.

The media strikes again and I feel it is to protect the push by the liberal party to use the vaccines and try to offset the same situation in the US becoming recognized to harm their voter base. So Australia was a good public choice.

Maybe that’s what DH and I have had. Some kind of virus that at first was like a bad cold and then went into lungs and we got peumonia. It’s been vicious. 3 weeks and we’re much better but still lungs not totally clear, and low low energy. We’re not young anymore so there’s that.

Common cold is just a group of light symptoms that can be caused by any one of hundreds of different viri. Rhino, rsv, coronas, parainfluenza, adeno, and so on. Not to mention ~20% of colds are unknown, (probably) viral infections.

I add Zinc and Quercetin to the 5000 D3.

Quercetin is like a ‘gun’ that shoots the Zinc into area where the invader is.
