IRS Whistleblower Knocks Out Hunter Biden’s Lawyers And The Washington Post With One Blow
The Federalist ^ | 7/5/23 | Margot Cleveland

Hunter Biden’s high-priced attorneys again tried to turn the president’s son into a victim by portraying IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley as a partisan leaker and a criminal — but on Monday, Shapley responded. Shapley’s counter was a devasting blow to Hunter Biden’s legal strategy and also represented a shot across the bow of the Biden-friendly Washington Post.

On Friday, Winston and Strawn attorney Abbe David Lowell dispatched a 10-page missive to Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., the chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, regarding what Lowell called the Republican House’s “obsession with attacking the Biden family.” While the letter complained of the House’s supposed abandonment of congressional protocol and rules of conduct, Hunter Biden’s attorneys’ real focus was Shapley, whom they painted as a partisan hack, not a whistleblower — and a criminal to boot.

The June 30 letter from Hunter’s attorneys strongly implied Shapley was responsible for leaking information to The Washington Post that served as the basis for an Oct. 6, 2022 article authored by Devlin Barrett and Perry Stein. The article claimed that “federal agents investigating President Biden’s son Hunter have gathered what they believe is sufficient evidence to charge him with tax crimes and a false statement related to a gun purchase…” Biden’s lawyers then challenged the House to ask the whistleblowers if they had leaked information to the Post.

Almost good enough for a NY Post headline.

Washington Post fabulists Devlin Barrett and Perry Stein refuse to confirm that Shapley did not leak to them.

Just like Media filth - spearcatchers for The Pedo Tater and his druggie pornboy.

Next up, they’ll be saying this whistleblower planted that cocaine in the White House in order to frame Hunter.

Ted Cruz on his podcast said the non-public IRS whistleblower who was the case agent (per his boss who came out publicly) is a gay married democrat.

Hard to spin the narrative for the democrats to demonize the “whistleblower” who has not yet come forward publicly.

The usual tactics for the left and media won’t work to attack the whistleblower and being the case agent he is the one MOST knowledgeable about the case.

They slow-walked the case to allow the statute of limitations to expire.

They tipped off Hunter’s attorney to the storage unit that agents wanted to search (and the bedroom at Joe’s house in Delaware).

They violated AG guidance to charge the most serious provable offense.

Weiss told a room full of people that he was turned down for charges in two separate districts AND was denied special counsel status in direct contradiction to testimony from the AG before congress.

Further consider what we know from the laptop - there was an email about “Ukraine” that appears to be a summary of a classified briefing on the Ukraine that Hunter should never have had access to BUT his father has “classified documents” in multiple locations. Is that document among those that Joe removed from a SCIF?

This WOULD meet the definition of espionage by statute. A person accessed classified information AND passed it on to their “business partner”. Instead they charged Trump, who has ultimate declassification authority and is covered by the Presidential Records Act with espionage with NO evidence that he passed the info to a bad actor or sold the information.

This is blatant corruption.

And what about this?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12262975/Prosecutors-listed-Hunter-Biden-filings-no-previous-involvement-case.html

“Lawyers are questioning whether the Delaware attorney’s office kicked its most experienced prosecutors off the Hunter Biden case – just before it filed minor charges against the president’s son.

Whistleblowers who ran the IRS criminal probe into Hunter for five years told Congress about their travails with veteran Delaware prosecutors Lesley Wolf, Shawn Weede, and Shannon Hanson.

But in a letter to a federal judge last week announcing the charges against Hunter, Delaware US Attorney David Weiss listed three different prosecutors who have apparently had no previous involvement in the case – leading to questions of a last-minute overhaul by the Delaware DoJ. “

“My bad - just a pop up”

I’m glad you were able to figure that out. I was baffled as to what could be causing a firewall unless you were at work at a company that blocked the Federalist site. LOL.

AND THIS

The cocaine was found “in a baggie” not loose.......out in the open, no attempt made to conceal it.

COD.....direct from the drug dealer who just delivered it.......seems like he knows the “Hunter nasal routine” well.

Contemplate that.......a criminal crackhead living in the WH......his criminal dealer getting paid......running in and out the WH with the illicit goods.

Criminals running a retail drug operation in the WH.

Resident Biden’s contempt for law-abiding Americans is colossal.

FTA-—— While there is little that can be done to stop Hunter Biden’s lawyers from smearing w/b Shapley, congressional oversight committees should ensure the Biden administration’s DOJ isn’t providing an assist.

A recent New York Times article suggests Hunter Biden’s attorneys are attempting to inveigle the DOJ in the attack on Shapley.

“Hunter Biden’s lawyers have told the Justice Department that Mr. Shapley has broken federal laws that keep grand jury material secret,” The New York Times reported last week.

In his Monday affidavit, Shapley also refuted this point, saying he never knowingly released grand jury material. But that might not matter to a Justice Department that answers to Hunter’s father.

Thankfully, Shapley and the other whistleblowers have a strong advocate in Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who seems two steps ahead of everything the DOJ and other Biden apologists pull.

It is unfortunate, though, that the left-wing suck-up press that once championed whistleblowers seems intent now to serve as scribes for Hunter Biden’s attorneys.

If the Post reporters remain silent, we’ll know they intend to keep things that way.

I don’t think so. They would have to show proof.

I think that the Biden’s are sacrificing Hunter to drug rehab to put him out of reach of the courts, if you saw the video of Hunter from this week end at the White House, you saw that he is back on the drugs. The family Fourth of July looked like a long good bye to Hunter. I think that the cocaine was a plant and the leaked call on an unsecured line about finding the cocaine, was intentional.

Hunter will be in a secure rehab center at least until his father is out of the White House.
