New Evidence in John Lennon's Murder: Singer Was Shot With Two Different Type of Bullets
Radar Online ^ | Joshua Wilburn

Posted on 07/02/2023 8:20:36 PM PDT by nickcarraway

Two different guns may have been used in the December 8, 1980 shooting of music icon John Lennon, RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to British author and TV producer David Whelan, two different types of bullets were removed from Lennon's body during the autopsy. One was marked as a Semi-wadcutter or hollow-point bullet, while the other was listed as a 38-caliber lead bullet.

Whelan believes that the different bullet types add weight to his theory that a second shooter was involved in the killing.

The author has spent three years investigating the murder and has highlighted several inconsistencies in the official narrative, including the suggestion that police may have misunderstood how the shooting occurred.

Whelan's investigation has also revealed a 'hit list' compiled by convicted gunman Mark Chapman, including the former Beatle, Godfather actor Marlon Brando, and former First Lady Jackie Kennedy.

The prosecution's accepted version of events was that Chapman shot at Lennon five times, with four of the bullets hitting the singer in the back. However, Whelan's witnesses have suggested that the shooting may have been recorded incorrectly and that the fatal shots were actually fired into Lennon's chest.

I get the Hinckley connection, but why would there be a connection to JFK?

Are there any high profile assassinations in the past 80 years that WERE NOT committed by either the CIA or MI6?

I’ve heard a number of versions about what really took place
on this issue. While I do find it an interesting topic, I
am not tempted to think the kid shot Reagan because of Bush
family manipulation.

There’s a video out there naming various Bush family members
and what issues they were involved in or close to.

I think we get played at times. I try not to take most of
it too seriously. That could be problematic also, but I
just don’t buy into all the conspiracy theories.

I alternate jacketed hollow points and FMJ in my GP-100 intentionally. Just in case I have to shot through something that would stop a hollow point.

Good grief... I just got finished listening to RFK Jr give some convincing thoughts about who he believes shot his father (not Sirhan Sirhan)... and now you tell me there is doubt about the killer of John Lennon?

Could have gone either way. But Daniel was hot, he drew first and shot.

If that’s how you choose to see it, it’s okay with me.

I don’t care for the Bushes much, but this area of study is
beyond my ability to accept it.

“Chapman was a dumbass, probably got whatever ammo he could find.”

Everyone knows it is only possible to load one type of ammunition into a gun at a time. There had to be two guns /s

Chapman’s home for his ammo

Mark David Chapman was living on the 11th floor of the 63rd Street YMCA. My brother was living one floor below him.

I always trust the Brits for gun information. A .38 Special revolver can fire a variety of bullet types, including semi-wadcutters, jacketed hollow points (no, they are not the same thing), and “lead” bullets.

Good post. The ignorance displayed in the article is appalling.

The other explanation is Chapman loaded his gun with mixed ammunition types because that is what he had. Deranged people make irrational decisions and New York has strict gun laws.
