Justice Sonia Sotomayor blasted the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision to back a Christian wedding website designer’s choice not to provide services to gay couples, calling the decision “profoundly wrong” in a scathing dissenting argument read from the bench.
“Today, the Court, for the first time in its history, grants a business open to the public a constitutional right to refuse to serve members of a protected class,” Sotomayor wrote.
The associate justice harkened back to the civil rights and women’s rights movements in her dissent, suggesting that in recent years, gender and sexual orientation minority groups have faced “backlash to the movement for liberty and equality.”

“a protected class”
where the hell is that in the constitution.
Lib tribe heap big mad!
I’m loving it!™️
This ugly racist hispanic should just call in her vote. Why even hear the case. She’s already decided before it’s even heard. I do not know of a single time she has ever voted with the conservative side. It’s comical to think anything but her own agenda drives her decisions Certainly not the constitutioin. She’s so ugly because of what’s inside her even more than what’s outside and that’s saying a lot.
I don’t know if she’s a lesbian, but I swear she would win a look-alike contest for former Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega.
Sonia has no concept of what liberty really is.
The other part of this argument is the “refuse to serve” part. These cases are not about someone who took items off a shelf, went to the checkout line and the business owner refused to take their cash for goods available to anyone. Insted this was an attempt to force someone to create something - an act of speech - to express something they found abhorrent.
Religious people, NOT A PROTECTED CLASS, despite the FIRST amendment.
But LGBT, PROTECTED CLASS.
Sotomayor, Brown Jackson, and Kagan will be the feminist/racist/communist court jesters for years to come sadly.
“right to refuse to serve members of a protected class”
Twisted reality. First, nobody should be a ‘protected class’ everyone should be equal. Second, the person that refused did so on religious grounds. This was outlined and protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and without it, there would have been no United States.
Business make money by commerce, and excluding people and groups from that commerce is generally bad business. These cases are what I call ‘gotcha’ things. Who wants a someone who has a religious objection to do your graphic design for a wedding, when you could go down the street and find someone who has ZERO religious objection. This was an assault on a persons beliefs and business, and it’s disgusting. Just because some people believe that they are a ‘protected’ class doesn’t mean they have the right to assault the religious beliefs and business of someone else. This isn’t life and death stuff, it isn’t even an inconvenience for them to pick another business, they were just doing it as an “I gotcha”.
Colorado needs to rethink laws that allow people to harass people of faith using a law that was intended to prevent harassment.
Vulgar and classless. Soto and Jackson. The rats ruin everything they touch
I didn't know she was lesbian. I thought Kagan was the lesbian.
You mean there are two lesbians on the court?
LOL - now that I’ve read that, I can’t un-see it. She really does resemble Noriega.
Not yet...
That a Supreme Court justice would use the term “protected class” should be an impeachable offense. What the hell is a “protected class”?
I guess she never read the part about "We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal"...
Just as government prohibiting speech is forbidden by the First Amendment, so also is the government (in this case Colorado) compelling speech.
I wish they would ask her which “classes” of people she deems unworthy of constitutional protection.
The heads on the affirmative action SCOTUS picks are spinning.
I would expect no less from Justice Bimbo.
All to faggotry they surrender.
