Munitions company CEO faces $32k fine for cutting down THIRTY-TWO of his New Jersey neighbor's trees 'to improve view of NYC skyline' from his $1.75M mansion

A New Jersey man is facing a fine of $32,000 for cutting down thirty-two of his neighbor's trees to improve the view from his $1.75m mansion of New York City's skyline.

Grant Haber is said to have violated local legislation in the town of Kinnelon, New Jersey, that requires a permit to be acquired before removing trees.

Haber is alleged to have hired individuals to cut down 32 mature trees on his neighbor Samih Shinway's property in order to get a better view of New York City.

Pictures show the extensive mess left by those hired to take out the work.

Shinway said he arrived home one day to a team of men working on removing the trees from his property.

He said: 'When I came home on February 27th I heard chainsaws and I drove my 4-wheeler to see where the noise was coming from.

'I saw a tree shredder and 4 men on my property and they were on my cousin's property too.

'Haber tried to act like it was a big mix up. The workers right away blamed him & he denied everything and told them all to leave.

'Haber came out and said "isn’t this a disaster? Who would do this?". Ever since he cut the trees down there’s been lots of crows and Soil erosion.

'When I was outback with the forester he let his two dogs out and they were harassing us.

'He was yelling for the dogs from 50 feet away but wouldn’t come get them.

'The fine is 32 grand but the estimates in damage are around $1.9 million.

'A letter was dropped in our mailbox that was typed & unsigned saying he’s not a bad neighbor & he moved here because he loves nature. Otherwise he’s had nothing to say.'

Munitions CEO (i.e., a Neocon war profiteer).

The arrogance of our ruling elite is astounding.

I would bet he thinks the 32K is worth it.

Sue him for the $3 million, so he will bargain down to $1.9 million.

If ever there was a case for SSS, this is it!

Typical attitude of our globalist masters...

His neighbors are probably NYC libtards so I kind of enjoy their pain if so.

In my state they call it open space. It’s big with the California transplants.

$32K is not justice. How about $32 million and some jail time?

How can you get a ‘mansion’ in New Jersey for less than 1.7M?

His place is probably worth more than $500,000 with this view.

Those fines are government fines.

The neighbor can sue him for millions in damages.

How about just cut his testicles off? That would just come close to my level of anger. Frankly, I’d be hard pressed not to just shoot the SOB.

I woke one rainy October Saturday morning and while drinking my coffee my wife noted a big truck with lights on it at the front gate. I went to investigate and found a tree trimming crew destroying my landscape maples at the front gate. I let them have it with both barrels. Good thing for me there was a fence between us or the kids would have attacked me. Instead they asked that I please stop yelling at them. I told them I would when they left. No gun involved and better off that it wasn’t.

I told them they didn’t have sense enough to pour piss out of a boot for doing something like that no matter what for. I said, “you boys need to know that people have been killed for less than what you are doing”.

You don’t mess with a man’s property. Period, no exceptions and damn sure not mine.

$32K? Pocket change. How about $32 million? That might get his attention.

Shinway is a big ole boy. Harber should pray he doesn’t rip his arms off and beat him to death with them. What a dickweed.

So Neil Cavuto cut down his neighbors trees? Doesn't surprise me one bit.

Some renters next door cut down a scrawny alder tree on my side of the property line and slunk off.. They have a 120 degree sweeping view from their deck, so I didn’t see the point. I watched and listened to them refinish the deck for a couple of weeks ahead of a July 4 th weekend. The morning of the 4th, I saturated my yard with fish fertilizer, knowing the northern breeze would carry it across the deck all day.
