MSNBC political analyst Claire McCaskill said Tuesday on “Deadline” that she believed it was “amazing how stupid” former President Donald Trump was.
At a CNN town hall, Trump said, “I had every right to under the Presidential Records Act. I was there and I took what I took and it gets declassified.”
Anchor Nicolle Wallace said, “It’s the classified documents version of when you’re famous they let you do it. It’s ludicrous.”

What did Trump do that was wrong WRT the documents? Please enlighten us.
Simple answer, he kept documents that are not personal presidential papers, thinks he had right to classified documents, says he didn’t even classify some, didn’t have time to sort through them, etc. Worse, he runs his mouth about them, shares them, etc.
Except that Claire is both wrong and stupid, whereas Trump is neither. Trump, as POTUS, can declassify ANYTHING that he wants to - that’s what ONLY a President can do, since he’s the head of the Executive branch. So, YES, he could have done the declassification himself at any point up to 11:59:59 AM EST on 1/1/2021. Claire is either stupid or a liar, and is definitely WRONG!
To these quislings, only stupid people refuse to take the bribe money.
Yet, who's the billionaire past President?
Most people, including a lot of people on FR, don’t understand what the Presidential Records Act says. What it DOESN’T say is that all presidential records are the property of the president and he can take them with him as he leaves. The only thing the president is supposed to take with him is his personal records, which are defined in the text of the law. He has access to his presidential records, but they are owned and in the possession of the National Archives. It also doesn’t say that a dispute over records is a criminal case.
lol
Dumb ass says what
It was HILARIOUS watching that commie idiot trying to convince Chuck Todd that Biden was squeaky clean, that having Hunter at the White House was totally awesome nothing to see here moving on..how they put themselves in a pretzel to defend one another its a sight to be seen
To become a member of congress, there should be a rule they need to pass a Constitution test
That is right.
Good and accurate assessment—thanks.
‘Claire is either stupid or a liar, and is definitely WRONG!’
She’s all three.
He not stupid, he’s a stable genius. The president himself said so.
Oh, OK, Dr. Freud.
“LOL,LOL, some think they can do no wrong, you mean like EVERY disgusting person in government!! Take your dislike of Trump elsewhere it is getting BORING!!”
or,
LOL,LOL, some think they can do no wrong, you mean like EVERY disgusting person in government!! Take your dislike of DeSantis elsewhere it is getting BORING!!
Why does Trump have someone on his staff recording his conversations?
Here, let me cut through the noise.
She looked at #IV and walked to microphone. That’s the extent of the thought she put into here comment.
This sort of thing works on morons. Even morons on FreeRepublic apparenlty, judging from some of the comments.
You’re welcome in advance.
Eight Commandments of the Liberal Left recast from Irving Janis (Yale) groupthink behaviors.
I
Thou shalt create an illusion of invulnerability shared by most members to foster excessive optimism and encourage extreme risks taking
II
Thou shall not allow any member to question the group’s inherent morality, instead members shall be encouraged to ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions
III
Thou shalt promote collective efforts to rationalize in order to discount warnings, or other information that might lead members to reconsider their assumptions before they recommit themselves to their assumptions
IV
Thou shalt reinforce stereotyped views of enemy leaders as too evil to warrant genuine attempts to negotiate, or as too weak and stupid to counter whatever risky attempts are made to defeat their purpose
V
Thou shalt self-censor any deviation from the apparent group consensus, inclining each member to minimize the importance of their doubts and counterarguments
VI
Thou shalt create and maintain a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgement conforming to the majority view
VII
Thou shalt apply direct pressure on any member who expresses strong arguments against any of the group’s stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, making clear that this type of dissent is contrary to what is expected of all loyal members
VIII
Thou shalt appoint mindguards to protect the group from adverse information that might shatter their shared complacency about the effectiveness and morality of their decisions.
Looks like she was posting on this site this afternoon.
