The latest brand to face calls for a boycott after announcing their new "inclusive artists project."
Consumer power has been demonstrated in many forms recently as the likes of Bud Light and Target have faced customer boycotts, seemingly resulting in massive losses of earnings.
Bounty is facing the ire of many social media users after its "decision to exclude white artists" from a new art campaign. Newsweek contacted Bounty representatives and they replied that over the years, the brand has partnered with artists representing a variety of backgrounds.
Earlier this year, Bounty launched a new campaign, Bounty Prints, to "use its brand platform to highlight and identify artists who aren't usually represented in the world of marketing and design." The promotional video goes on to detail they'd be using work from three "diverse artists": Kingsley Nebechi, Reina Castellanos and Shadé Akanbi.

Uh, might be a bit of a stretch to go after them on this. Just sayin.
There are so many paper towels out there.
It’s just dumb to do any of this stuff.
Promote the towel, not the Alphabet that drew the pictures.
They deserve to go broke.
But not one certain background.
That is the text book definition of exclusion.
If they would have just used “diverse artist’s” rather than virtue signal beforehand about their intention, their would have been no issue.
Dear Newsweek, thanks for informing me of this.
I WAS a loyal Bounty user but that ended today.

Won’t get me on board. Damn paper towels are the best and have always been the best. Can’t stand the crap the other brands put out.
BINGO!
I recently switched to a paper towel brand called Sparkle, it is sold at Walmart. It has extra perforations so you can rip it into smaller sections than usual.
Damn it, I absolutely LOVE their napkins. Anyone have a good alternative?
Boycott?
I’m in...
Same here. No more buying Bounty for me.
Vanity Fair
I do not know who makes them
Art has no race; but we’ve seen art destroyed for the sake of various ideologies in our lifetime.
We all know that it really has nothing to do with the “art”.
Oh no.
No question it’s the best paper towel.
But sounds like I’ll be buying Viva only again.
BTW, today at the grocery store there were display holders and package design for KIT KAT specifically saying they are helping BLACK MUSICIANS.
“I WAS a loyal Bounty user but that ended today.”
Me to for over 30 years.
Not no more.
Look at the asses on the comments. As usual, slandering all of us.
It’s time to hit all big brands, woke or not, with boycotts. Just buy generics whenever possible, lots of time they’re just as good as the big brands anyway.
