House Speaker Kevin McCarthy hinted Sunday at possibly opening an impeachment inquiry into Attorney General Merrick Garland if IRS whistleblower claims that the Justice Department interfered with the Hunter Biden probe are proved true.
Last week, the House Ways and Means Committee released transcripts of interviews with two IRS whistleblowers who claim decisions made during the probe by DOJ, FBI and IRS officials seemed to be "influenced by politics."

Well, they’re not doing any actual legislating - they just pass continuing resolutions and omnibus bills. So they may as well go after the evil-doers in the bureaucracy.
Neither the Clinton impeachment, or the Trump impeachments, were ever going to result in Senate conviction.
If we want to base any decision based on whether it will result in Senate convection, then nobody would ever get impeached.

I think McCarthy promised someone he wouldn’t bring Impeachment against Biden.
Watch him when it’s brought up, he immediately deflects and dodges.

I think you are on to something. Garland needs to go no doubt but maybe a big fight over him is a cover to do nothing about Biden.
The RINOS will figure out a way to lose.
