I have participated in the plutonium decontamination of a laboratory. I have performed the radiation dosage calculations associated with a theoretical nuclear reactor accident.
Back in WW2 and shortly there after in the design of a nuclear bomb, there was something called LD 50 30. This was a lethal dose of radiation that would kill 50 percent of an exposed population within 30 days. This was how the military evaluated nuclear weapons. Those are huge doses and will make people really sick and kill some quickly and others will die from compromised immune systems later on or from cancer.
Now to the point. In a nuclear confrontation, some people will be killed quickly and some will die slowly, but the Hollywood apocalypse on a nuclear wasteland, a nuclear winter is overplayed.
If people can go in and just hose down or paint over contaminated areas, they will become livable quite shortly and death from long term contamination will not be the same as in the movies. People and life are much more resilient than we generally believe.
Totally agree. The first few days are pretty important (to say the least) to stay in a well shielded area. Better to stay in for 2 to 4 weeks with adequate shielding to give yourself the best long-term survival rate.
But you are correct from my research. Survival after fallout exposure is a statistical/individual human capacity/dosage thing.
And I believe Potassium Iodide is very important as well.
Good post!
The EMP impact, the loss of power, the loss of critical infrastructure like hospitals, doctors, fire, police, etc, would dramatically reduce life expectancy.
It'd be a complete disruption of society and the economy as we understand it today.
We'd be back in the stone age.
There is a big difference between a limited use of multi kiloton nuclear weapons and an all out strategic weapons exchange involving thousands of megaton-class warheads.
The former is obviously survivable, since Nagasaki and Hiroshima have been rebuilt, and since we survived atmospheric testing during the ‘50s.
A strategic exchange does risk a nuclear winter due to the amount of smoke and ash thrown into the atmosphere. It would be equivalent to a major volcano, which have caused widespread crop failure for multiple years afterwards.
There are also some special cases, such as targeting a nuclear power reactor and adjacent cooling ponds with a megaton class weapon in order to release the accumulated radioisotopes.
” LD 50 30”
Well, what will they develop for nomenclature of the deaths and crippling due to the mRNA Jab?
And those at the top around Fauci and his cohorts knew from the beginning about the “side effects”.
They have been playing with this “strain” of virus for over 20 years. Was a division manager for 7 of that.
I took him for his last visit to the plant on Oct 30, 2009. He died in early December 2009.
I don’t know what nuke lab you decontaminated but my father in law worked at the plant for 40 years.
“Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks.”
Sherwin Williams & Benjamin Moore could bring back LEAD PAINT!
Never let a crisis go to waste.

Depends on if Russia uses Poseidon torpedos which are salted with cobalt...
Though you don’t want to forget to take your potassium iodide, too.
