This is the most stupid poll question ever. It provides absolutely no information.
Do the majority think the country is heading down a too liberal path? Or a too conservative path?
I suspect it’s half and half.
Since they no longer have to convince the electorate they no longer care about numbers like this. One day everyone will regret what they allowed to happen in 2020.

This has always been aggravating.
Many hated the wimpy GOP leaders for decades because they did not prosecute Hillary, uncover Obama secrets, curb wasteful spending and stop Obamacare.
Not that they didn’t want GOP policies.
Others thought the Dems were not socialist enough and didn’t act to imprison and kill Deplorables like us. Too moderate and not enough like AOC and Bernie Sanders or Fidel Castro.
So just about everybody would think it’s the wrong track.
