A pair of academics affiliated with York University believe that allowing parents to opt out their children from drag storytime events is a “dangerous setback for 2SLGBTQ+ human rights education.”
Writing in the Toronto Star, Beyhan Farhadi, a fellow at York’s Institute for Research on Digital Literacies, and “community educator”/York M.Ed student Joy Henderson say the Toronto School Board’s decision to allow opt-outs from the “family-friendly” activity “sends a message that [queer] rights are debatable.”

Husband and I had dinner last week with some longtime friends (childless by choice). Much discussion ensued about the whole trans movement. I told them, for our generation, the issue was homosexuality, for the next — my kids — it will be pedophilia. Friends gave me a look of half-sympathy, half-you-must-be-a-conspiracy-theorist. I’m not saying all people who aren’t parents “don’t get it”, but they really don’t.

Homosexual behavior is condemned by The Old Testament ,logic,common sense,observant Christians,Muslims,and Jews.
The proper response differs from “tough love,i.e. stop that behavior and be saved” to execution,depending on the local situation.

It sends the message that children are worth protecting and you have no right to push your depravity in their faces.
Nobody is stopping you and other consenting adults from indulging in your fetishes in the privacy of your own homes. Nobody is stopping you from having wedding ceremonies to declare your mutual interest in deviant lifestyles.
But leave the children alone.
