The Kremlin has forged a deal with Wagner Group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin to defuse the mercenary group's uprising on Saturday.
In exchange for Prigozhin's exile to Belarus, the mercenary leader won't be prosecuted, the Associated Press reported, citing a Kremlin spokesperson.
The reported agreement comes after a paramilitary rebellion on Saturday in which the Wagner Group marched across Russia before suddenly turning around just 120 miles from Moscow. Prigozhin said he didn't want to shed Russian blood.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced Saturday that Prigozhin — and the troops who follow him — will not face criminal prosecution as part of the deal. He also said those troops who did not join in the uprising would be offered Defense Ministry contracts.

I think this guy is toast.
It was all a ruse to get Z-man to move his troops in for final annihilation, but he didn’t take the bait.
I think that puts paid to any Belarus "regime change" notions from "Cookies" Nuland and her pals.
Many believe that Prigozhin did exactly what he was told. Drain the Moscow Swamp.
This guy strikes me as being pretty stupid....which means the soldiers following him, are even more stupid.
I think he came to his senses.
OTOH, the whole thing could have been a ruse.
Everything about Prigozhin’s public pronouncements makes more sense if you think of him as a Vince McMahon.

It would be an interesting way to move 25K troops within striking distance of Kiev without anyone being aware.
Probably not. But then again, Russians do not think like other people in the West or the East for that matter.

Good chance of it. We'll find out if he's still alive a year from now.

Maybe change that to the Seychelles or Madagascar. For “health” benefits such as breathing.
Not a lot of tourists so four grim guys getting off a Russian plane with long musical instrument cases will stand out.

Prigozhin lost his nerve and surrendered. He’s toast, and Putin looks stronger than ever. What a farce!
