The armed munity on the Kremlin led by mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin highlights Russia’s “full-scale weakness,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday,, adding “no lie can hide” the “chaos” inside the country.

“Russia’s weakness is obvious. Full-scale weakness,” Zelensky wrote on Twitter. “And the longer Russia keeps its troops and mercenaries on our land, the more chaos, pain, and problems it will have for itself later.”

I saw a quote this morning from the Wagner head, saying this is not a coup, it is a “March for justice“, apparently in retaliation for Russia bombing one of Wagner‘s camps.

We finally see what an insurrection looks like. What is happening today in Russia looks nothing like January 6th.

“The Ukrainian counteroffensive thus far has been a complete multi-billion-dollar flop “

Extremely premature. You have no way to know what Ukrainian or Russian losses have been.

As for Wagner, we have lots of evidence, on video and etc., that it’s been an incredible mess in the Russian rear areas. Both Rostov and Voronezh are critical for Russian logistics to the Ukraine fronts. We have video of Russian bombing of fuel facilities at several points from Rostov to Voronezh for one thing - imagine that, the Russians bombing their own logistics. And that’s the least of it, the material disruption, but there us more to come.

And the morale and diplomatic damage are far worse. Putin looks like a man who has lost control, and the Russian state like a rickety shambles.

The Middle East was already unstable. That’s part of why we always had to prop up the Shah. When Europe stopped colonizing it they made a bunch of countries ignoring how little the groups in those countries got along, then walked away. It’s been a mess since. And will be until they either learn to get along or somebody shakes the etch-a-sketch and let’s them make new countries.

Yada, yada, yada... You can’t back up anything that you have just stated with anything other than propaganda. You are correct in only one statement, “You have no way to know what Ukrainian or Russian losses have been.” Neither of us can. The only thing that we know for sure is that the “counter-offensive” thus far has accomplished basically nothing.

“wait until there’s some actual information before I’m convinced we’re all not being dragged.”

Like when they showed us a picture of 6 tanks, told us it was a 40-mile tank convoy, and dragged us into war?

I don’t believe anything anymore. We need to GTFO of that whole area asap.

Honestly it’s really funny watching the Ukrainian side instantly pivot from “Wagner was destroyed with mass casualties in Bakhmut” to “Wagner is powerful enough to topple the Russian state.”

Follow the social media stuff. There is plenty. Giant clouds of black smoke over Voronezh, etc. Those are Russian assets getting hit and burning. Those are Russian highways and railroads where stuff isn’t moving. Those are Russian military assets getting rushed to Moscow and not Ukraine.

And there is all of Wagner, no longer in the picture as the Russian operational reserve. Its not likely to be coming back soon.

Twitter video mostly....do a search on #wagner.

This road crew...based on what I’ve seen...probably in the 20,000 range (tanks, trucks). It would appear some of the Wagner folks left back in Rostov....to counter any Russian Army reaction. Doesn’t appear to be serious reaction. If I were Ukraine...I’d go for high-offense today and plan to take 5 to 10 miles a day.

Even if Wagner fails...they are presently taking some Russian army helicopters out and weakening threat against Ukraine.

Real losers at this point...probably Oligarch folks looking at the end.

Follow the social media stuff.

Social media? Social media is by far the least reliable and most heavily manipulated form of information available in our society. But thanks for letting everyone know where the nonsense you spout comes from.

Wagner is a smaller force than it once was. It recruited about 80,000 men overall, it may have reached 40,000 at its peak. It released 38,000 convicts alone, a large portion of them wounded, and Prigozhin claimed they had suffered 10,000 dead.

25,000 is way down from what they once were.

However, it seems that this remnant of Wagner is sufficient to threaten the Russian state. Else there wouldn’t be roadblocks being established on the highways in Moscow oblast.

The wagner forces moving along have zero ammo, they have zero support from the people, they rely entirely on the military to supply them any weapons, and the idea that the military would support them is a joke considering the military moral is doing great with Ukraine sending their troops into the meat grinder every day now.

Right now only two options are going on: this is either all a ruse to get ukraine to send more of their forces into a trap, or wagner is just airing grievances, because the idea these guys could topple the government is laughable beyond belief.

You need to open your mind. Unlike wars of old we get, when things go well, up to the minute video, immediate feedback and analysis, including crowdsourced fact checking.

“This is not Voronezh because xxxx”
“ That’s not a KA 52 because xxxx”

The old propaganda gatekeepers aren’t in the picture.

Yep, that’s my understanding. Rostov was told to stand down (just like the Capitol Police on Jan 6th, by the way), and so Wagner claims that ‘captured’ Rostov.

At this point, I’m just waiting for the Wagner guy with the horns to show up.

I wish Wagner the best of luck fighting the Russian military, since they won’t be getting any help with their effort.

Since overt 90% of the Russian military is in Ukraine, there is little military inside Russia to stop the 25-50K Wagnerites headed north

As for help, 180 regular Russian troops already surrendered to the PMS and the Storm Z battalion sides with the PMC, not to mention various border guard and national guard units.

They have military logistics chain from Rostov and Voronezh, both giant depots. And their purpose isn’t to fight it out over an extended period across trenchlines. They are going for the “preference cascade” thing.

Like Napoleon did when he left Elba in 1815.

So far it seems to have worked as there have been no effective roadblocks anywhere. This has been going on for 24 hours and they are already in Moscow oblast. Plenty of reports of Russian units standing aside.

Your assumptions about Russian morale are, er, “heroic”.

You have no way to know what Ukrainian or Russian losses have been.

Prig claims in his video yesterday the Russian losses have been 1000 casualties a day.

Since the offensive started last week, Onyx has Russian vehicle loses at 3X Ukrainian, very unusual for a defender to have that high a loss ratio.

Like when they showed us a picture of 6 tanks, told us it was a 40-mile tank convoy,

So you never saw the video footage of the entire 60-mile long convoy at the start? Just some images or other? Its likely still available somewhere on line.

Ukraine is getting its ass kicked. But, this meltdown will result in billions more flowing and being laundered in Ukraine.
