Biden admin takes aim at hunters in latest regulation: 'Preventing Americans from hunting'
Fox news ^ | 6/22/23 | Thomas Catenacci

The Biden administration announced Thursday that it is moving ahead with prohibitions on the type of equipment hunters are allowed to use on federal refuges, a move strongly opposed by sportsmen groups.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) released its 2023-2024 hunting and fishing rule — an annual plan laying out regulations for the upcoming hunting season — banning cost-effective lead ammunition and fishing tackle across eight national wildlife refuges by 2026. Such an action has been supported by eco groups, but opposed by hunters, who argue that it could serve as a backdoor attack on hunting broadly.

"This is the latest example of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service creating rules that punish hunters, threaten conservation funding and advance special interests without sound scientific evidence that traditional lead ammunition cause is causing detrimental wildlife population impacts," said Lawrence Keane, the senior vice president of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

In 2021, the Center for Biological Diversity — an influential environmental group with assets exceeding $40 million that advocates for stringent federal wildlife protections — sued the federal government over a Trump administration rule expanding hunting and fishing on 2.3 million acres across 147 wildlife refuges and national fish hatcheries.

Instead of defending the rule, the Biden administration asked the court to delay proceedings in the case in February 2022, and in November it agreed to a settlement with the group that stipulated the government would take wide-ranging steps to protect wildlife "harmed by expanded hunting and fishing" on national wildlife refuges.

Biden admin takes aim at hunters in latest regulation

Does anyone here know of a source for those “Pistol-stabilizing Braces” that president Joe told us about?

The ones that let a pistol fire a larger caliber bullet?

Biden says “Pistol-stabilizing Braces” turns pistols into guns and make it so that you can have higher caliber bullets coming out of the gun

They seem to like depleted uranium.
This is probably a better projectile than lead for large game anyway...

If this becomes law and hunting is banned, better get ready for some 1920s style natural disasters.

I have been saying for years that it’s gun owners Democrats despise. It’s about what they believe, not what they do.

Thank you for referencing that article CFW.

"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) [??? emphasis added] released its 2023-2024 hunting and fishing rule [...]"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

I've added the constitutionally undefined FWS to the post-17th Amendment ratification, politically correct interpretation of Constitution's first numbered clause.

"Article I, Section 1: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives [and non-popularly-elected bureaucrats running Federal Reserve, IRS, EPA, BLM, FDA, NIH, CDC, FWS, etc.]."

Evidenced by this example list of constitutionally undefined federal agencies, not only are crook federal lawmakers not taking full responsibility for the legislative powers that voters trust them with, but most of these so-called "federal regulatory agencies are based on stolen state powers imo.

"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.

Also, consider that probably the main reason that crook lawmakers established these federal agencies was to protect themselves from the wrath of the voters, wrongly weakening the constitutionally enumerated voting power of qualified citizens by doing so.

Regarding 2024 elections, it's up to us patriots to initiate the final stage of Trump 47's second term mission to finish draining the swamp by primarying as many of our beloved state and federal lawmakers and executives as we can.

After all, lawmakers and executives continue to show that they do not have the patriotism and leadership skills necessary to find legislative support for effective remedies for unconstitutional government policies.

In fact, given that one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the unconstitutionally big federal government to dictate domestic policy is to run the Mail Service (most federal domestic policy actually based on stolen state powers), the worst problem that the peacetime country would otherwise be looking at with a new Congress of freshman lawmakers is a delay with mail delivery.

"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"

Trump can endorse candidates that Constitution-savvy patriots recommend as long as candidates are not incumbents, candidates also promising to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments after they win office.

The definition of insanity is reelecting your beloved career state and federal lawmakers and executives over and over again, expecting those same politicians to find remedies for unconstitutional government policies every time.

The 2nd Amendment isn’t about hunting

More importantly, it is about the “well regulated militia”

The citizens formed up for a common cause who are vocal and active.

It is still preferable to not use the arms.

They want us to shut up and not get together and talk. Just like the British did.

“The 2nd Amendment isn’t about hunting. It’s not even about personal protection. It’s about ordinary Americans being able to defend themselves against all enemies...foreign and domestic.”

But the government uses hunting and fishing regulations to try to impose restrictions on the 2nd Amendment. They know that part about “enemies...foreign AND domestic” and that worries them. But, as the meme says, our founding fathers didn’t just return from a deer hunt when creating our country and recognizing the citizen’s inherent rights.

In other comments this is another example of a .gov entity that needs to be DEFUNDED !!!If they have any excuse for existing, it’s to protect migratory birds and to halt international trade / smuggling interdiction in endangered species. I suppose they could mske an argument for keeping invasive species in check, but the current admin won’t even stop illegal people, so....

....National Park Service tested wells writhing the battlefield park. ....

I think the concern is predators eating carcasses with lead shot and particles.
The predator is poisoned . I've seen videos of eagles unabled to control their movements because of poisoning.
