RFK Jr. Is Really Scaring Them Now: LA Times Says He’s a Threat to ‘Our Democracy’
PJ Media ^ | 06/21/2023 | Robert Spencer

Posted on 06/21/2023 7:41:34 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has the Leftist political and media elites deeply rattled, and that’s utterly delightful.

Imagine this scenario: a wildly unpopular and manifestly incapable president is running, however haltingly, for reelection. Initially he seemed like a lock, but then he encountered an unexpected challenge from a scion of an old American political family, a man who defies all the conventional categorization of political candidates and has set the establishment on its ear by challenging not only the superannuated corruptocrat in the White House but many of that establishment’s most cherished assumptions.

It would make a great novel, but it’s real life, and it’s an exhilarating reminder that America is still a republic, still a place where the elites can be challenged at all, however entrenched they may appear to be. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has not only challenged the elites, he has frightened them to the core, and that’s wonderful to see. The latest indication of how much of a threat they consider him to be comes from the Los Angeles Times, always a reliable organ for far-Left propaganda. The Left Coast Times is so scared of RFK Jr. that on Monday, it proclaimed, “Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a threat to your health — and our democracy.”

Now, this is absurd on its face and an insult to the intelligence of the handful of remaining Los Angeles Times readers. The Left has now become so divorced from reality that Times writer Michael Hiltzik would have us believe that a contested Democrat party primary is bad for “our democracy.” But a full-out coronation of Old Joe to serve another four years as the figurehead for the shadowy individuals who are really running things? Why, that would be “our democracy” personified.

Anything the LA Times, or any leftist for that matter, claims is “a threat to our democracy” has my undying support.

Kennedy Jr. castigates fossil fuel companies, throws his support behind the Green New Deal, and says that every Democratic presidential candidate has an environmental agenda better than that of President Donald Trump.

“There are going to be major disruptions not just to humanity, but ultimately to civilization,” says Kennedy Jr, the son of former U.S. Attorney General Robert Kennedy and nephew of former President John F. Kennedy. “This is part of the cost that we’re paying for our longtime deadly addiction to coal and oil.”

“Right now, we have a market that is governed by rules that were written by the carbon incumbents to reward the dirtiest, filthiest, most poisonous, most toxic, most war-mongering fields from hell, rather than the cheap, clean, green, wholesome and patriotic fields from heaven,” Kennedy adds.

On climate change, Kennedy Jr. voiced his support for a Green New Deal proposal put forward by Queens Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez but primarily called on governments to divest from fossil fuels and impose a tax for carbon emissions.

“I think the Green New Deal — and all that stuff — is important,” Kennedy Jr. says. “We ought to be pursuing it

Do I think the Koch Brothers are treasonous? Yes I do. They are enjoying making themselves billionaires by impoverishing the rest of us. Do I think they should be in jail? I think they should be enjoying three hots and a cot at The Hague with all the other war criminals who are there.

Morano: What about politicians who deny [climate change]?

RFK Jr.: They’re selling out to public trusts. And I think those guys who are doing the Koch brother’s bidding, and who are against all the evidence of the rational mind, are saying that global warming doesn’t exist – and they are contemptible human beings, and that, you know, I wish that there were a law you could punish them under.

Any time you see the term “threat to democracy” used, replace the word “democracy” with “unelected DC Uniparty” and you’ve pretty much got the truth.

Me: He has spent his whole life as a dedicated environmental activist.

“Don’t think you’re correct. Source?”

Kennedy is an environmental law specialist and partner in the law firms of Morgan & Morgan and of Kennedy & Madonna, LLP,[35] and is an advocate for environmental justice.[citation needed]

Through litigation, lobbying, teaching, and public campaigns and activism, Kennedy has advocated for the protection of waterways, indigenous rights, and renewable energy.[36]

In 2018, the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 recognized two law firms for winning a $289 million jury verdict in Johnson v. Monsanto Co.. As co-counsel at one of the firms, Kennedy was also a member of the team.[37]

I’m pretty sure we became something of a Democracy in 1913 with the seventeenth amendment allowing We The People to directly vote for US senators. It changed the power structure of fedgov overnight as well as take power away from the state governments.

These people have dropped all subtlety. There is a (somewhat) secret bunch of Oligarchs who run the country. Anyone who threatens the rule of the Oligarchs is a “threat to our democracy”. It makes no sense, but it’s what they’re going with.

Bingo.

Please don’t say that. Or even think it. Just keep RFK, Jr in your prayers.

This hostility seems to drive home the point that the Democrat Party has become either Authoritarian and or Marxist.

“And while he (RFKjr) is not actively “pro-gun”, he is definitely NOT anti-gun and supports the 2nd Amendment and its original intent.”

He is anti-gun but a realist, “the Supreme court has spoken”, and current gun control efforts ineffective.

So, one of the largest, most prominent newspapers in America, itself a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO OUR FREE REPUBLIC, calls RFK Jr. a threat?

LOL!

THE HYPOCRISY IS LAUGHABLE!

“Please don’t say that.”

I hope that by saying it that more people will be concerned for the man and that it becomes less likely.

Cockroaches don’t care for light to be shined on them. And if there is light somewhere the vermin will remain in the dark.

It has been observed, by an honorable gentleman, that a pure democracy, if it were practicable, would be the most perfect government. Experience has proved that no position in politics is more false than this. The ancient democracies, in which the people themselves deliberated, never possessed one feature of good government. Their very character was tyranny; their figure, deformity.

-Alexander Hamilton speaking in support of the new US Constitution.

Well, we are rewarding Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq, Syria, Russia, Yemen, Iran, China and others instead of drilling and using out own oil.

Of course, if they were really wanting cheap clean energy, we’d have nuclear power plants in every state.
