A gag order against presidential candidate Trump is not even imaginable in a democracy, period. This cannot stand. It makes America look like a banana Republic.
Taking away Trump’s right to defend himself publicly is an atrocious and sick decision. Frankly, they will have to back down on this. This gag order is on a madhouse insanity level.
For a serious lawyer, Smith got his a$$ handed to him by SCOTUS. His lead prosecutor seems to have ethical issues as well. Smith seems like a typical corrupt DOJ prosecutor. Always assume a DOJ prosecutor is corrupt. If you do, you won't be surprised when they prove to be corrupt. That applies to every three letter Federal agency.
This could be the first of many appeals related to the PRA and the declassification of documents. Just because DOJ say so does not make them classified once Trump declassified them. They are not the authority for classifying documents, nor is the judge here. Trump as President was the penultimate authority. He declassified so at minimum he has unlimited access to those documents. We will see if Trumps attorneys decide to appeal this or not. They should appeal everything and drag this case out for three or four years.
I’ve been watching him ramble for 40 minutes on Fox. He hasn’t said a single new thing.

Great work, Judge. With a wink and a nod, the prosecutors get the green light to leak to the media and suppress exculpatory data that would help Trump. Why not a global gag order and go after the DoJ/FIB leakers to the fullest extent of the law?
We are, I’m told, a democracy. We elect our leaders.
This case is the leading issue in the current Presidential election. For that reason the people have the right to ALL information about this case, NOW.
One candidate is President Biden. He controls the prosecution. The prosecution have a general sweeping decree to hide information. They claim it’s needed for national security.
The other candidate, Trump, claims this case is banana republic stuff, designed to alter the election result.
The people need to know who is telling the truth. They cant if everything is hidden from them by the Biden administration.
If this concern for National Security were legitimate, the Biden administration should have undertaken the case sooner, so the truth would have been known before the uncertainty affected the election. Or they should have deferred the case until after the election.
Instead the Biden administration, aware that the were losing to Trump in the polls, timed their case for the middle of the campaign. It apears that Biden has perverted our systen of justice, hoping to win an election he will otherwise lose, by making an unproved innuendo and then hiding the relevant evidence.

He’s lost most of his big cases. If he’s such a fine lawyer, why was he shuffled off to Belgium to be a member of the World Court? Name one significant case he’s brought or won in Brussels.

This is as good as it gets for the deep state. They can leak or say anything they want about the case and there is no one to correct them. The only ones that know what’s going on are gagged.
So I say we should do what the DOJ and D’s do. Just make stuff up and say it as if it is true.

I did not say that he had committed serious crimes. I said IF he had. Everyone in our country is presumed innocent until proven guilty. However, it is grossly unfair to have charges filed against you in the middle of a campaign and not be allowed to defend yourself.
