Oooooo, what a beautiful day you had! Glad you and Giz were able to get out and have a good time.

Yes, the Tulsa area got hammered last night. I “rode” through that storm with a storm chaser, watching his live stream, and it was hair-raising. I’m glad you didn’t have any storms like that.

It sounds like you’re ready for the next round of lawn mowing. Tree branches do have a bad habit of getting in the way.

We’ve gotten a fair amount of rain tonight. That one small thunderstorm and a couple of brief heavy downpours with a nice steady rain in between. I’m glad the crops around here are finally getting a good drink but the grass here is also getting it. LOL It’ll grow like crazy now.

I hope you get a better night’s sleep tonight!

It’s too bad you don’t get thunderstorms up there very often. The rumble of thunder IS pretty cool. Long lightning streaks a cross the sky are even cooler but I didn’t get to see any of those tonight. *sigh*

Yay for progress! Cooling off nicely. Yeah, you probably won’t need that blankie for a while. SURELY it won’t get as chilly again as it’s been the past week or so. It’s closing in on July!

Looks like Gizmo enjoyed his outing...water and dirt and grass.

That’s a lot better than the 80 you had earlier. I hope it’s comfy enough for you to get a good night’s sleep.

She does a good job shaking off the rain, but I towel her off as well. She doesn’t seem to mind that TOO much. LOL. :-)

Lee served in the 4th Marine Division as a scout sniper in the Pacific Theater during World War II,[6] including assaults on Eniwetok and Saipan-Tinian.[7] While serving as a member of “I” Company, 3rd Battalion, 24th Marines, 4th Marine Division, Lee participated in 21 Japanese islands landings and was wounded in action on June 18, 1944, during the assault on Mount Tapochau in the Battle of Saipan, during which most of his company were casualties.[8] He was hit by machine gun fire, which severed his sciatic nerve,[9] and then was hit again in the foot by a sniper.[10] After over a year of medical treatment in naval hospitals, Marvin was given a medical discharge with the rank of private first class.
