'Rainbow Underground Railroad' helps LGBT Americans 'escape' red states

An organization called “Flee Red States” is helping LGBT people who live in Republican-dominated states find homes in “less hostile” states, and even in different countries.

Really.

Real estate broker Bob McCranie started the service in Texas. McCranie called it a “sad thing” to have to change the nature of his business from selling Texan homes to helping residents find housing elsewhere but said it was necessary because Texas legislation is “unsafe” for LGBT people.

McCranie told Austin local news outlet KXAN that he felt the need to expand the service because of demand from other states.

You know, I guess this story could be Exhibit A for thesis that the LGBT crowd now has the upper-hand in society relative to the race-hustling crowd. If any other group so frivolously co-opted the “underground railroad thing,” they’d likely be met with a backlash along the lines of “How dare you racists compare yourselves who can move and live freely wherever you want to our slave ancestors who were literally escaping chains?”

What’s with this Underground Railroad symbolism?

They do not have to escape slavery and secretly leave these states where they feel so oppressed.

They can openly freely move whenever they want to. They can pick up the move to The Castro tomorrow. Nobody is stopping them. They will not be captured and returned to their oppressive Republican state .

This whole symbolism is so stupid. If you really feel Texas is so dangerous to LGBT then move to California.
