Ann Counter: The Trump Indictment
AnnCoulter.com ^ | June 14, 2023 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 06/15/2023 7:20:19 PM PDT by Angelino97

Last week’s indictment of Donald Trump is the latest example of why liberals really should have read my book, “Resistance Is Futile.” Or Aesop’s fable “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” Either one.

After years of making insane accusations against Trump, from Russian collusion to indicting him for misdemeanor record-keeping errors in his blackmail payments to a porn star, liberals finally have him dead to rights committing serious felonies. And no one believes them.

It’s your own fault, liberals.

Much to my surprise, the documents Trump had spirited away to Mar-a-Lago were not cheesy souvenirs appealing to his juvenile sensibility, like Shaquille O’Neal’s shoe or a picture with Kim Kardashian.

No, the documents he’d stuffed in Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom, bathroom and shower (among other highly secure locations) included information about our nuclear weapons programs, the defense capabilities of the U.S. and other countries, potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack, and plans for possible retaliation.

As Trump’s Attorney General Bill Barr said in an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” these were “among the most sensitive secrets the country has.”...

In another reminder that Trump defenders need to wait a beat before repeating his claims like trained seals, the government has Trump on audiotape boasting about how incredibly “secret” and “highly confidential” the documents are — as he showed them off to people at his Bedminster Club. “As president I could have declassified it,” he told the non-security-cleared person, “Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret.”

How many Republicans have sworn up and down that Trump had declassified all the papers he removed from the White House? Now he’s on tape admitting that that was a lie.

After 20 years of 24/7 of agenda pushed by mockingbird media misdirections, obfuscations, and straight up lies, it's disappointing to see Freepers still eager to swallow whatever poo they are serving up.

You'd be better off listening to Tucker https://twitter.com/TuckerCarlson/status/1669472439472988161

than than to Romney's pet horse.

“But is she wrong?”

Yes. Stunningly. “Presidential Records Act”.

That's not going away, my dear FRiends.

Was that a REAL secret document or was he just blustering as he quite often does?

The walls are closing in on Trump now!

He's finished, there's no escaping now!

And so the story's told,

Ann did what She had to do,

And now She's growing old.

But those are the most important salient ones. The points you mentioned are points that some people would view as positive points not negative ones. 😋

I never lost faith in Ann Coulter - until today.

Until today, her biggest complaint about Trump was his failure to vigorously - and consequentially - enforce USA immigration law as currently written.

Wow. Never expected to read an essay like this from Coulter.

Coulter talks like she has actually read the documents that Trump possessed inside his Secret Service guarded private residence.

She has not read one word of those documents. She simply quotes the indictment and WaPo and NYT.

The taped statement that Trump makes about classification is analyzed completely out of context by Coulter.

General Milley claims that Trump wanted to attack Iran and ordered Milley to prepare a battle plan.

Trump states that Milley prepared a battle plan without orders, and then tried to persuade Trump to attack Iran, which Trump refused to do.

Trump states that is why he retained Milley's battle plan.

Trump showed the battle plan (the cover page?) to a journalist in the context of denying that he (Trump) ever wanted to attack Iran.

I never imagined that Coulter's personal contempt for Trump would bleed over into a complete absence of objectivity about the politically motivated Trump indictment.

Re: "Trump brandished an unclassified document"

Did the journalist see more than the cover page? If he did, that is not mentioned in the indictment.

Trump brandished the document while making the point that General Milley was urging Trump to attack Iran, that Milley wrote the battle plan without orders, and that Trump refused.

Milley claimed the exact opposite, that Trump ordered the battle plan, and that Trump wanted to attack Iran.

Who is telling the truth? I will side with Trump - until proved otherwise.

Re: "I never thought much about what she says."

Coulter was one of the most important Conservative opinion journalists and lecturers in the USA, more than 15 years before Trump became president.

Oh great, so a stupid careless president can just take class

It's hard to have a conversation with you juvenile drama queens. But the answer to your question is yes. If they are president, they can do whatever they want with classified documents.

I have long given up in trying to figure out what the typical voter considers important, but I think the conventional wisdom of the economy is valid. I also think the typical voter doesn’t like the transkids efforts of this administration.

Regarding the corruption, I think the typical voter can’t comprehend the idea of Biden Inc. Getting millions in bribes from the Russian oligarchs and ChiComs.

The economy s*cked and trannies were offensive even before the midterms. Yet the Red Wave never materialized, largely due to voter fraud.

I never imagined that Coulter's personal contempt for Trump would bleed over into a complete absence of objectivity about the politically motivated Trump indictment.

Since the beginning, her writing betrays her inability to grasp that others do not process information the way she does. She has become insulated from reality outside of DC or NYC. She cannot resist inserting the verbal stiletto only understood by those who read the fine details of passing news stories, regardless of such sarcasm's comprehensibility or probity to the wider audience, such as the voting public. Her talk-show snark turns stale overnight; in print, most of it does not convey the precise meaning her legal reputation should deserve a month, even a week later.

As for Trump, she's been menopausal since he ran for president.
