Last week’s indictment of Donald Trump is the latest example of why liberals really should have read my book, “Resistance Is Futile.” Or Aesop’s fable “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” Either one.
After years of making insane accusations against Trump, from Russian collusion to indicting him for misdemeanor record-keeping errors in his blackmail payments to a porn star, liberals finally have him dead to rights committing serious felonies. And no one believes them.
It’s your own fault, liberals.
Much to my surprise, the documents Trump had spirited away to Mar-a-Lago were not cheesy souvenirs appealing to his juvenile sensibility, like Shaquille O’Neal’s shoe or a picture with Kim Kardashian.
No, the documents he’d stuffed in Mar-a-Lago’s ballroom, bathroom and shower (among other highly secure locations) included information about our nuclear weapons programs, the defense capabilities of the U.S. and other countries, potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack, and plans for possible retaliation.
As Trump’s Attorney General Bill Barr said in an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” these were “among the most sensitive secrets the country has.”...
In another reminder that Trump defenders need to wait a beat before repeating his claims like trained seals, the government has Trump on audiotape boasting about how incredibly “secret” and “highly confidential” the documents are — as he showed them off to people at his Bedminster Club. “As president I could have declassified it,” he told the non-security-cleared person, “Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret.”
How many Republicans have sworn up and down that Trump had declassified all the papers he removed from the White House? Now he’s on tape admitting that that was a lie.

I actually think that Trump could beat Biden, since everything that Trump is accused of Biden appears to be guilty of.
That on top of Biden’s other liabilities - frequent incoherence, horrific economy, extreme left policies, etc.
“incredibly “secret” and “highly confidential” the documents are”
Well, given how bombastic and self serving he is, they were probably just menus from the white house.
I can report that I was unhappy about the indictment, and hoped for the best for Trump; and only learned (subject to authentication, of course) later of Trump's apparent (subject to comprehensive reviews) lying, keeping docs that weren't his to keep, keeping extraordinarily classified documents that were illegal to keep, and apparently (subject to authentication, of course) giving uncleared folks access.
All just my early impressions, I invite corrections and I'm never defensive about receiving them (although I do ignore impoliteness).
Oh, Ann Coulter making a controversial statement to the media.
Has she got another book coming out?
The secret documents could have fit in one box with much room to spare. The photographs were take to convince the ignorant, like Anne Counter.
That’s already been debunked. Sperry was talking about a summary of Trump’s words on page 3 of the indictment, but the complete transcript of the relevant quotes are listed on pages 15-16 of the indictment.
Yeah that audio recording of Trump showing off about having totally secret documents will hurt him about as much as his off color joke about grabbing women’s privates.
If you read it, she is not saying the classified documents are what is hurting him, it’s ignoring a subpoena. (And also saying unwide things on tape.)
“Wrong about not being required to respond to a subpoena?”
What did the subpoena say and how did the Trump team not respond?
He’s been trying to set himself up all along.
Would a lawyer tell a client to make potentially damaging statements - but only if there theoretical. Even Biden isn’t that dumb, and I don’t think Trump is dumb.
Just my guess, we'll see if it's a good one.
Coulter.
Right there.
Right there at the raid.
Right there reading the documents.
Right there in front of her.
Right there when the boxes left the White House in broad daylight.
Right there at Bedminster.
Right there, Ann.
Way to go hero.
“Someone should tell him.”
If he ever reaches the level of wisdom and knowledge you think you have...
> Run someone who enrages the left by winning, not by constantly creating legal messes benefiting no one but himself. <
That seems like a fair comment. On the surface, it makes sense. In a way, Trump is like George Patton. Very competent, but too reckless in what he says.
But here’s something that Coulter just doesn’t get. It’s not 1955 anymore. Any GOP candidate who challenges the Deep State will get smeared and denounced.
It’s a brave new world, Ms Coulter. Pick George Patton or pick the fall guy at a fixed wrestling match. There’s not much in between.
As a side note, I don’t know where DeSantis or the others fit in here. It’s too early. Time will tell.
“...as he showed them off to people at his Bedminster Club.
She has no possible way of knowing that. Showed them off? Referred to them?
The woman has lost her freaking mind.
Sorry for the double post.
.
Anyone who thinks they’re giving up this power is crazy.
This is the beginning of the Power shift.
Why would they relinquish power? Only a candidate with intent to ultimately lose, like Pence, will be spared.
