Advancing into the teeth of Russian air superiority, and without air defense.

I don't know why everyone thinks this offensive may go on for months.

The funny thing about Air Supremacy... Yeah. Good luck with that, when all of your ground forces are pinned down and can’t maneuver. Better stock up on feet-thick concrete bunkers.

Clearly, American boys and girls must be sent to save the Nazi/Soros/GloboHomo regime in Kiev.

The USA continues to spend its treasure on an endless conflict with little national interest while China bloodlessly and effectively infiltrates Cuba and South America.

————
Maybe they should start listening to Vlad, his people are united, and like Trump, does what he says:

Putin’s speech ( translated):
———————————————
“We were forced to try to end the war that the West started in 2014 by force of arms. And Russia will end this war by force of arms, freeing the entire territory of the former Ukraine from the United States and Ukrainian Nazis. There are no other options.

The Ukrainian army of the US and NATO will be defeated, no matter what new types of weapons it receives from the West. The more weapons there are, the fewer Ukrainians and what used to be Ukraine will remain.

Direct intervention by NATO’s European armies will not change the outcome. But in this case, the fire of war will engulf the whole of Europe. It looks like the US is ready for that too.”
—————————————-
The West is willing but not able……and here we are, bodes not well for the collective West.

Russian air faced a huge number of US supplied stinger anti air MANPADS. The stingers really bled the Russians, but the Ukrainians used the stingers indiscriminately and wasted them. The US has now run out of stingers to send Ukrainians so they are working with much less sophisticated weapons which do not work as well. The EU has a very limited supply of advanced MANPADS and they are not able to send very many to Ukraine. The Ukrainians are burning through Patriot missile stores at a pretty brisk clip. At some point in the near future they will run out of those as well. This is insanity. Rather than pressuring the Ukrainians into trying to execute ill advised combined arms assaults that waste weapons and still get thrashed, we should be fortifying the Ukrainian defensive lines and pressuring the Russians to agree to a cease fire on the best possible terms for the Ukraine because the best possible terms are getting lest best and lest possible as the Ukrainians get weaker as time goes by

“Ukraine’s Armor Appears To Have A Russian Attack Helicopter Problem”

Nice try, pal, but EVERYONE KNOWS that Yahoo News, like the NY Times (who’s reporting the same), are Putin PUPPETS.

You Putin Puffers need to come up with better sources.

LOL! More Putin fan-boy propaganda. Russian air superiority?? Bwahahahaha! The Russian army is a clown show commanded by clowns. Their drunk troops have more mental competence in stealing toilets, washing machines and toasters... then their commanders can come up with a plan to capture an outhouse behind enemy lines. But they are definitely experts at being drunkards on Vodka and executing innocent men, women and children.

The clown who cut and pasted this tripe is delusional and needs to get off his own Vodka drunkenness.

Very funny article.

But the idiot author is correct on one point... With such a calamitous clown Russian command and 3-stooges military, I don’t see the offensive lasting more than 4-6 months. Ukraine shouldn’t require more than 6 months to sweep the Vodka Gomer Brigades back to their favorite watering holes in Mother Russia.

I would rate Russian military about on par with adolescent teenage hooligans and undisciplined criminal Nazi skin-heads.

I don't know why everyone thinks this offensive may go on for months.

"Perhaps most critically, Russian military bloggers are now more frequently citing the successes of these combat helicopters. There are unconfirmed reports of dozens of Ukrainian armored vehicles being destroyed in recent fighting in the Zaporizhzhia region and elsewhere in the east."

Because in a war that has gone one for 15 months, a new offensive is not going to end over unconfirmed reports from the side getting attacked. Particularly when pilots and gunners cannot tell the difference between armored vehicles and farm equipment.

If the Rooskies have attack helicopters available for CAS, why didn’t they use them months ago when their armor convoys were getting shellacked?

None of this makes any sense.

From the Ukrainian perspective:

Pressure to show results or take action?

They have been selling the idea that they’re winning, taking back land, and they need to show something.

Believing ones own hype and lies?

This is a war of attrition at this point. Ukraine is at the disadvantage. Burning up your troops like this makes about as much sense as attacking in the Battle of the Bulge where Germany burned through some of their last combat troops which would have been a pain in the rear had they fought a defense.

Sam Houston and Washington did best in the defense. Defend, defend, defend, and wait for the ideal point in time where you can land a punch that for sure will be a victory, preferably a decisive one which turns things around: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_San_Jacinto or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Yorktown or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Midway

There is always this pressure to go on the offense, and it is true that you win ultimately in the offense, but you need to choose that battle wisely!
