Theodore “Ted" Kaczynski, known as the “Unabomber,” has died in federal prison, a spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons told The Associated Press on Saturday.
Kaczynski was found dead around 8 a.m. at a federal prison in North Carolina. A cause of death was not immediately known.
He had been moved to the federal prison medical facility in North Carolina after spending two decades in a federal Supermax prison in Colorado for a series of bombings that targeted scientists.
Kaczynski was serving life without the possibility of parole following his 1996 arrest at the primitive cabin where he was living in western Montana. He pleaded guilty to setting 16 explosions that killed three people and injured 23 others in various parts of the country between 1978 and 1995.

Here’s his manifesto. You’ll likely find yourself agreeing with 95% of it and thinking too bad he decided to start murdering people instead of just making his argument.
But he despises leftists, feminists, etc. or more correctly, has nothing but contempt for them.
He was an early to college kid, and Harvard destroyed him with MK Ultra CIA acid experiments.
Take a few minutes and look though it. You’ll be surprised.
An excerpt from his manifesto. He wasn’t a lib. That’s why they declared him a madman and mocked him. They didn’t want too much delving into his motivation.
“Leftism is a totalitarian force. Wherever leftism is
in a position of power it tends to invade every private corner and force every thought into a leftist mold. In part
this is because of the quasi-religious character of leftism:
everything contrary to leftist beliefs represents Sin. More
importantly, leftism is a totalitarian force because of the
leftists’ drive for power. The leftist seeks to satisfy his need
for power through identification with a social movement
and he tries to go through the power process by helping
to pursue and attain the goals of the movement (see paragraph 83). But no matter how far the movement has
gone in attaining its goals the leftist is never satisfied, because his activism is a surrogate activity (see paragraph
41). That is, the leftist’s real motive is not to attain the ostensible goals of leftism; in reality he is motivated by the
sense of power he gets from struggling for and then reaching a social goal. [35] Consequently the leftist is never
satisfied with the goals he has already attained; his need
for the power process leads him always to pursue some
new goal. The leftist wants equal opportunities for minorities. When that is attained he insists on statistical equality of achievement by minorities. And as long as anyone
harbors in some corner of his mind a negative attitude
toward some minority, the leftist has to re-educated him.
And ethnic minorities are not enough; no one can be allowed to have a negative attitude toward homosexuals, disabled people, fat people, old people, ugly people, and on
and on and on. It’s not enough that the public should be
informed about the hazards of smoking; a warning has to
be stamped on every package of cigarettes. Then cigarette
advertising has to be restricted if not banned. The activists
will never be satisfied until tobacco is outlawed, and after
that it will be alcohol, then junk food, etc. Activists have
fought gross child abuse, which is reasonable. But now
they want to stop all spanking. When they have done that
they will want to ban something else they consider unwholesome, then another thing and then another. They will
never be satisfied until they have complete control over
all child rearing practices. And then they will move on to
another cause”
Jonathan Pollard was a victim of injustice and a hero in by book. Casper Weinberger should not have tried to have Iraq destroy Israel. Casper Weinberger was an antisemite and probably hated his 25% Jewishness.
I remember hearing that game on the Rush Limbaugh show. A guest host was playing it and handing out prizes.
I would have considered this two years ago, but seeing what is happening to Trump now, I believe what you say will be the case.
There are a lot of radical manifestos I wouldn't read, but his ranks right up at the top.
is there evidence he was MK ultra?
OK then, he’s nothing but a “lib.” This is some deep and analytical commentary.
I don’t know what that means in this thread.
“nabomber” is only missing you.

For some reason I thought he died a long time ago. Maybe because he wasn’t in the news media much.
Common problem with utopia planners. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I posted this in another thread:
... all his grand philosophizing about the state of humanity was little more than a bulls—t, self-deluding cover for a misanthrope who felt powerful when he blew up stuff.
I remember back when he was arrested, one of the media specials delved into his biography and they interviewed some of his high-school classmates. One woman expressed no surprise whatsoever that classmate Teddy was the Unabomber. She said he had always been a weirdo jerk who thought he was better and smarter than everyone else. She remembered him setting off prank bombs around the neighborhood, in school bathrooms etc. She said that she’d been telling people for years that she suspected good old Ted was the Unabomber.
Very insightful. Thx.
No loss, frees up a cell.
I’m sure he got the best medical attention once he landed in jail.
“You’ll likely find yourself agreeing with 95% of it”
So many people spout off about things like this without having given it a fleeting glance. That is at least part of the reason we find ourselves in the pickle we are in.
“If you put a hermit in jail is that really punishment?”
Good point.

I know a Nurse that works in a prison.
As long as they don’t physically or verbally assault her they get the best care available. As good as any of you can get.
If they get nasty, it is harder because she cannot determine the care needed. She is very professional and compassionate.
