House Republicans alleged on Thursday that President Joe Biden and his son Hunter each received a $5 million payment from the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma to shake off a corruption probe.
Reps. Anna Paulina Luna and Marjorie Taylor Greene were among those given access to an FBI document from June 2020 that detailed testimony given to agents from an informant who had spoken with Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky.
That informant claimed that Zlochevsky said he had doled out $5 million to each Biden to call off an ongoing investigation by the Ukrainian prosecutor general at the time, Viktor Shokin.
Ukrainian prosecutors first launched an investigation into Bursima - the company on which Hunter had a board position for five years - over allegations of money laundering, tax evasion, and corruption in 2012.
Greene has now alleged that the $5 million payments were a 'bribe' paid by Zlochevsky to have Shokin fired - thereby killing the investigation.
Shokin was eventually fired in April 2016, a month after Biden, then-vice president, threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees to Ukraine if he was not replaced as prosecutor general.
Biden has since claimed that he was pushing for Shokin to be fired because he was failing to properly curtail corruption in Ukraine.
'There's no doubt in my mind that Joe Biden is guilty of bribery,' Luna told Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram.
'There was two separate transactions, one that went to Joe Biden for $5million, one that went to Hunter Biden for $5 million.'
Zlochevsky is a multimillionaire Ukrainian oil and gas oligarch who founded Burisma in 2002. He also served in various positions in the Ukrainian government from 2010 until February 2014.
Burisma brought Hunter onto its board in 2014 as it was looking to expand overseas, even though...

What are we supposed to do with Traitors?
Good question.
One wonders how much power a Republican-controlled House Impeachment Committee will possess, or be able to bring to bear when it matters, to drill down and obtain formal documented proof of those two $5 million payments from the foreign actor seeking favors, to Brandon and his lowbrow son willing to sell out their country.
You may be right but you being right doesn’t help your children and your grandchildren.
Teacher says everytime a crime of Biden gets uncovered, Trump gets indicted.
Ummmmm...did she allege that or did the 1023 state that?
That's a pretty important distinction.
Separating the wheat and chaff, figuratively.
Frank Abagnale wanna be. Catch me if you can.
WHAT DO WE NEED? Impeachment!
It has taken me a long time, but I have to admit it.
And this is coming from someone who objected to all the Females getting promotions and becoming bosses.
I thought that “some” women were not doing a very good job.
Well, In this case, I admit I was wrong.
There are a good number of women in our Republican House of Representatives who are doing a GREAT, WONDERFUL JOB of not only focusing on the disgraceful behavior of the Demoncrats, but also DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
By being so vocal and knowledgeable about our many problems, they are becoming the LEADERS WHO WE SO RIGHTFULLY DESERVE.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR MARVELOUS WOMEN WHO ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE. Elise, Majory, Nancy, and ALL the others, God Speed.
Sometimes the guys tend to act like little babies. Not our gals.
Regards.
Yes...though I enjoyed that movie...
No, Biden is using “there is no evidence defense”. He actually admitted there is no evidence.
The document in question is yet another allegation but not evidence adequate for conviction.
All the hard evidence is still off shore and unreachable by American courts. The point of the crimes was to keep all evidence beyond the reach of American courts
Don't bother with an answer.. I was just being rhetorical.
Frank turned his life around. I don’t see life reflecting art in this instance.
I agree. And, he in the book/movie, it didn’t sound like he had it out for individual’s money, more just scamming larger companies (even if, as Milton Friedman said...”All debts must be paid!”)
