Jamie Hammonds said city policies have pushed homeless into areas where the public can’t see them
An Austin, Texas, resident is raising awareness of the city’s homeless problem and its unseen impact on greenbelt areas.
Jamie Hammonds, an investigative filmmaker who runs the organization Documenting Austin’s Streets and Homeless, or DASH, shared videos Wednesday on Twitter, showing a homeless encampment in the Violet Crown Trail after roughly a year of neglect.
“It’s destroyed. It will never be the same,” Hammonds tweeted.
A real-estate agent concurred, saying the “environmental damage from these camps is immense.”

It doesn’t matter how bad it gets.
The populace will still vote democrat.
You would think that NOBODY would EVER vote democrat again after just a few years of this.
But, nope.
Einstein’s definition of insanity prevails.
The Austin political and cultural systems have been trashed...
Let the Mexican government clean them up...
A microcosm of things to come
Einstein never said it. https://www.history.com/news/here-are-6-things-albert-einstein-never-said
Rename it to the Violent Crime Trail and earn an award for truth in advertising.
This is what you get when you “Keep Austin Weird.” That was always code for keep Austin democrat.
What a shame.
Put the illegals there to clean it up, make them work for the welfare they’re getting.
Screw the Austin homeless camps. The land all along the Rio Grande has been made into the world’s largest landfill by the RAT illegal invaders from the south. Messico should be advised to clean that sh*t up or lose all relations with the United States.
Excellent!
Well deserved by the Prog Socialist Liberal Austin voters cesspool!
This shows the value of propaganda. The mainstream news won’t talk about the many Democrat failures. The late-night talk show hosts endlessly make fun of Republicans. Activists brand Republicans as racists and haters.
It’s 24/7 Democrat cheering, Republican bashing.
Propaganda works. Just ask this guy.
“A microcosm of things to come”
And an ever spreading, fatal disease that the left is trying to inflict across the entire nation.
Joe Biden brought in 20 million illegals without a care, put them to work cleaning up this mess.
Thought these tyrants were for protecting the earth?
The Democrat base is too stupid to connect action with consequences.
10% of any population has an IQ < 85. That is barely functional in most cases. So much so even the Army has a prohibition to recruiting them — not even good enough as cannot fodder.
This group and the English illiterates being trafficked into the States are the NPC base of the DNC. The latter group (downtrodden and oppressed brown folk so the Democrats need to “guide” them on policy issues) COULD point out the stupidity of DNC policies but Democrats can’t be bothered to try and understand.
That is a lost voting base that will never change.
It only happens when people are afraid to push back. I’m sure you’re all aware of this quote...”All that’s necessary for the Triumph of evil is that good men do nothing” Edmund Burke.
Just about the only non-weird places worth visiting in Austin were the green spaces/parks-now that is trashed-literally, and the in-charge idiots not paying attention to what is under their noses-I remember when it was fun to go to Austin to visit Hippie Hollow/Barton Springs...
As someone who is Native Texan, Hispanic and Caucasian/White, that “little brown people” label is misleading-if you take a look at the videos of those illegals, most of them are as Caucasian as I am, just with lighter or darker-or the same skin color as mine. If you want a pejorative to use for illegals, try the one we Native born and legal immigrant Hispanics use-mojado-it is reserved for illegals of all colors and ethnic groups...
